@Shaun Bang I wonder if Will & Jaden are like this in real life? because the way they both talk to each other makes it seem like this is how they both are like in real life.

Will was teaching his son to be a man.

He litteraly did this movie with the intent to make his son a star he even said it himself. Also the movie was just bad, not only did it have a lot of logic flaws Jaden is clearly not a good actor. And you have will Smith a emotional actor on a person without emotions.

What does "being a good father" have to do with this?? If he was truly 'a good father' he would have told his brat to get into another line of work. Jaden Smith is a doofus, a wimp, and a no-talent. I don't mind the entire act of nepotism, WHEN THE SON OUR DAUGHTER DISPLAYS OBVIOUS TALENT, OR EVEN GOOD LOOKS. But this is pushing this reality way too far. Want to see talent?? Just look at Josh Brolin, James Brolin's son, or Nicholas Cage, Francis Ford Coppola's nephew. These individuals have actual talent and acting power, NOT Jaden.

That's not it. He might be the best in basic stuff like this but the main point is that he's supposed to be fearless. It's the only way to fight the monsters since the monsters feed off of fear.

@@adamsiyala b/c *“After Earth”* boasted an 11% on Rotten Tomatoes, making it one of the worst-reviewed Will Smith movies till this day and Jaden took most of the hit from critics when Will & Jada were the primary producers of the entire project making Jaden feel like complete trash 🗑️ which made him quit Acting for damn near 7 years bro

I enjoyed the movie, I thought the idea of ghosting was interesting and many of the other ideas in the movie were very interesting, and yes I've watched it a couple times.

@@blood852000 because the Pursuit of Happiness stopped the moment emotion stopped in the film. Will was the catalyst. And his son was unlikeable in the film because of it, therefore it cost Will his steady acting career.

What? The movie made $243 million world wide. It may have been a critical failure, but this film along with all of Shyamalan’s other films are all vastly profitable.

these are the little things I actually do like about the movie even though the rest blows. This movie is set 1000 years in the future. we humans are simply not going to talk the same way as we do now. Heck, we don't talk the same way as we did 50 years ago. Language is fluid. Was it an odd way to implement that change, sure, but not without reason.
