Instead of doing the loop manually when it's flashing white, you can Alt+click the mask expansion stop watch on both masks and type this expression-- loopOut(type="cycle") This will send all the current key frames to loop by themselves saving the trouble of duplicating the Pulse layer multiple times.
Very professional, great tutorial man. You stick to the point, keeping it short and sweet and not not linger on making the video long and boring. Keep it up and please upload more videos. I have subscribed because i only do it to good channels. Thanks you!
This cleared up all my problems. Next just learn to do this by myself. Never used after effects so it's gonna take awhile before I can do things like this.
There's a really easy way to make these HUD elements in after effects. No need to use another software to create a 2D image. Just make a new shape layer then use the ellipse tool to make circles and manipulate the circles under their transform tabs. You can add gaps and dashes and all kinds of things, add wiggle to animate them, etc. Super comprehensive. There are also tutorials for how to do things like that all over youtube. I only say this because I noticed his website link is broken or down or something but you can make your own to fit your needs rather than just copying someone elses. Cheers!
Trust me fox.... I work with digital audio for a living... It's all about rms levels & that was loud lol. Combine loud w/sudden/unexpected & it can startle someone who has headphones on & wasnt expecting it
I was using my external speakers, which get pretty loud if you don't be careful... Yeah I had to get a change of underwear after the intro. XD This guy should make a different, less sudden intro.
Great video. Thank you. I tried to us the link in your description and it is no longer good. is there another place we can get the elements used in this tutorial?
hello I'm very excited with your tuto. I'm trying to reproduce it myself but I've got a problem. When I want to open the hud composition, I don't have the 4 hud parts but only one hud layer...how can I resolve this please ???
Hi! I tried your tutorial on a footage of my own in which the pupil is also moving (the subject is looking left and right). So I tried to track also the pupil to link the hud element to it but man what a mess!! I had to modify the track by hand on almost each point (it's losing it because of the blink) and now it's not enough sharp to have something clean. What ref should I use to have a clean track of the moving pupil? Btw thanks a lot for the good tuto!
This may be a stupid question but the tutorial was no problem but you or someone please tell me how to make the hud elements??? Do you do them in photoshop? how are they all spinning on black like that. Are they transparent layers? Someone clue me in please.
The file in your link doesn't give the correct HUD element. It's gray and it doesn't look like the one you used. Also, this one doesn't have different layers to rotate.
Hey, I got a question. I got all of your tutorial, you explained it really well and the final effect is awesome, but how do you get both eyes, I tried the logical approach by pasting the same thing but it didn't turn out well, thanks in advance.
1.- Duplicate the eye layer, then invert it. Still some tweaking may have to be done. 2.- Not that i know. 3.- No idea, i dont think so, but well, its after effects, most of the effects and plugins dont have a set task, you have to use the imagination to create your own stuff.
Want to try this out mixed with my own idés but I can't go on your website for some reason. Can I find the project files in some other way? Or the elemt you put on the eye?
Hi there, i just saw your great video about the eye and tried immediately to access your Project Files, but i get the following message:"The requested URL /tutorials/after-effects-human-eye-vfx was not found on this server". Is it not accessable anymore?
just duplicate they layer 3 times so you have 4 layer... than mask out the parts you dont want on a layer... so do that on all 4 layers and there you have it...
gamertothemaxable track it the Same way and create mask, but in the shape of eyebrows. Use the mask on a black solid and feather it a bit :D Or use a picture of hairs and make a mask on them :P
