If the expression is not working, make sure you match the names it's trying to link to perfectly. For example: My value + (comp("music") wasn't working because the way I named my music comp wasn't music, it was MUSIC. Capital letters matter too, just simply change the name of either the comp or the value so both match. Wonderful tutorial by the way, thank you so much.

For those who didn't worked the expression, go to music comp, search for "Slider control" add it to the Audio amplitude and try it again, this worked for me.

For those with the Errors: Make sure all the layers all called what he said in the video use this expression if your after effects is in english: value + (comp("Music").layer("Audio Amplitude").effect("Both Channels")("Slider")) / 5

You can't do this kind of stuff in SV and I was kinda lost on how it's done in AE. *Every other tutorial* was just a low quality commentary, text-to-speech commentary, way too long or just had annoying royalty free music with no commentary. Great tutorial - used it successfully for 2 videos. I went through ALL the comments and a recurring question is: "how to use this as a template and change the music without having to start a new project each time from scratch?" When I update the music and background picture, the logo animation is still based on the first project not the new music...is there a way to update the animation so that it fits a new music file each time?

to the people who have a problem with the last effect i mean the pumping effect i find a solution all you need to do is to Exacly name your main comp (the comp that you have done all the work in) to Audio Amplitude and the other one to Music and the problem well solve i hope i was able to help! awesome tutorial btw

If you use a different logo then a circle, forexample a "S" you will notice that when you write the expression in the magnify it will make double layer of the logo, so instead of using magnify, use the "transform" in effects folder and write expression in scale, will work the same

The expression fails are caused by the languages of your apps, make sure to translate the words of the expressions, some comments below can give you a correction for certain languages.

Whenever I add the Expression to the Magnification, it doesn't give any effect. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, but I'm not getting any errors in the program, it's just simply not applying a "bumping" effect.

its saying "this proect contains an expression error: error 1 of 1" what to do?

Is there a way to make the logo only move for low frequencies and not a large range of them, or is that dependent on the audio spectrum start-and-end frequency? I've used this: value + (comp("Music").layer("Audio Amplitude").effect("Both Channels")("Slider"))/ 6 and know that last number has to do with the magnification, but without that whole thing, the logo itself doesn't move. Any way you could help?
