and when i turn it off and select it as a layer in the compount blur it doesn''t show up at all

To solve the texture visibility issue, ensure it's properly set up within the composition. Try adjusting its blending mode or opacity. If it's still not showing in the compound blur, double-check its layer order and make sure it's above the blur effect in the layer stack.
