After Forever was co-founded by Mark Jansen and Sander Gommans in 1995. Floor joined 2 years later at age 16. Mark and AF parted ways in 2002 after 2 albums. This song is from the 7th and final self titled album in 2007. Sir Joost van den Broek on keyboards, you've seen him with Ayreon. The band broke up in 2009 ,and Floor went on to form ReVamp. If you want another After Forever song ,try Monolith Of Doubt Live At Kopspijkers (2002). Floor at age 21.

Floor is credited with writing the lyrics for this song. In fact, she is credited with writing most of the lyrics for the band after Mark Jansen left to form what would become Epica.

Floor was born to be on stage! Only 26 years old here and already with After Forever for 10 years! This song blows my mind every f***ing time! The Floor-zone...for us Dutchies there's nothing weird about that, hahaha. Love your reaction! "If you fall, I'll always be there for you - the floor..." I know my classics! Instant "Like" !!!!! One of my All time favorite songs from After forever 🥰!!!! That middle solo part always gets me emotional....and yes, Floor has guns 💪. This song is from 2007 album with the same name After Forever. It took me a while, but thanks to this song, I have All studio Albums and Compilation albums from After Forever 🤘😎🤘(Only missing two demos....). NWSU/FloorFan !!!!

First group Floor Jansen was After Forever, where she began singing at the age of 16, After Forever was a Dutch symphonic metal band with strong progressive metal influences. The band was founded in 1995, but the name and style appeared only in 1997. After Forever was formed from members of the death metal band Apocalypse and vocalist Floor Jansen, who joined them in 1997. In the After Forever group, Floor wrote songs, in this group she used her soprano voice a lot, in songs she mixed soprano vocals with Eastern, Arabic singing and other styles.

Glad you liked it (althought I would have bet you would...). This is 26 years old Floor. Now, if you wanna see 21 years old Floor : ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-3TmKHkQx45U.html I loved After Forever and I was realy sad when they announced the breaking up of the band due do Sander (the guitarist-growler who was also the founder of the band and its main music writer) having health issues but I guess it was for the better since it allows Floor to get in Nightwish 5 years later. Also, notice Joost van den Broerk, the guy on keyboards in this video, has since worked as producer for everything Floor has recorded on her own.

Talk about a plethora of talented musicians early in their careers. Of course. the amazing Floor, Mark Jansen (the guitarist and growler) who started Epica, and Joost van den Broek, who you probably know as the keyboard player in Ayreon, who is also instrumental in so much music coming out of the Netherlands. This was a supergroup before the musicians were known to be super.

Ah there she is, the wonderful Floor (and Jynger) untamed, unleashed. What a talent, what a gift. I had not heard of After Forever until I immersed myself down the Nightwish rabbit hole just over 12 months ago having never heard of Nightwish or Floor until then. Thanks to Floor and After Forever I am now listening to Iron Maiden, a band I'd heard of but ignored until I watched and listened to the After Forever cover of Maidens, "The Evil that Men Do". In the last 12 months my musical world has been turned upside down and inside out. Thank you Jynger 🙏😊👍❤️

Unfortunately in this video FaceCulture interview Floor and Joost van den Broek, no subtitle youtube, Joost van den Broek says that he wrote the Dreamflight song in its entirely? I not believe that Joost alone wrote this song.

@@hamohamo8270 Like Floor and Joost i am Dutch so my memory is the statement not the language used to do the interview. I did re-listen to the interviews (unfortuanetly it is split in 6 parts and makes it even for me Dutchie a bit a mess. Thats a pitty because Floor and Joost gave a lot of information, interesting for all the fans. In the first one they talk about this issue. You can see that Floor is a bit tired for doing all those interviews. She even jokes about it. But when they talk about the theme energy the fire came back in her eyes. @@petervanloon7308 I think Floor participated in writing to Dreamflight's music, I think Floor wrote the lyrics to Dreamflight, I'm sure that Floor's solo singing in Dreamflight with the lyrics was completely made up by Floor, and that's the best part for me.

I own all After Forever albums. Haven't heard this song in a while, not the album version and not this live version. This one is quite good and certainly showcases what Floor (and her band mates) were capable of then. But there are After Forever songs I cherish more, just as today's Floor is much better than she was already then. Not listening to this anymore, but love the memories.

After Forever is legendary among symphonic metal. They have 2 timeless albums: Decipher and Prison of Desire. This song -as good as it is live- it is not even in their top 20 best songs for me. Also, unfortunately the live versions are not recorded well, usually. So to hear the songs as intended, the studio versions are recommended. Floor in After Forever sung harder songs. Nightwish haven't yet used her full potential. After Forever, Epica, Nightwish, Ancient Bards, Within Temptation are the best symphonic metal bands. The recent Blackbriar are a promising band too. We're waiting for your Epica journey to continue, they have the largest epic catalogue among all.

Great reaction Jynger! I'd like to suggest something a little bit different that coincides with your love of Nightwish and especially Floor. Yannis Papadopoulos is the lead singer of Beast in Black and he sings a cover of Ghost Love Score that is amazing.
