Those girls be eating food like nothing but I’m on day 2 of my braces and “discomfort” is not how I would describe it. I would say it’s like throbbing and your ability to chew disappears at least for me

Got my braces yesterday.... "Discomfort" is really not the word id use to describe the hell i feel when i eat anything😂

It took me 5 days to stop feeling the pain when i bite down with braces, for some people it will ake a week, 2 weeks it just depends on their teeth and age.

Foods to eat while getting your braces on/ tightened. (You won’t be able to chew for 3-5 days.) Oatmeal Soft pasta Mashed potatoes Yogurt Smoothies Pulled pork Meatloaf Cold water Ice cream These are just some suggestions and the things I ate, but any soft food is great! *DONT FORCE YOURSELF TO EAT TOUGH FOODS.* your teeth with become stronger on there own!

This is my second day using braces and I just got braces in my upper teeth. I can not chew any food and if I accidentally grind my teeth it hurts so bad. I hope this pain goes away soon. I will get my under teeth braces in the next month, so wish me luck😢.

It's been 2 days i get brace on and 1st day i literally cried like a baby because I wasn't able to even drink chocolate shake . The discomfort it gives is quite new and bad 😅. Gonna be my first night sleeping with braces. I can't wait to comment again on this saying I got them off. They're so uncomfortable and it hurts so bad even not doing anything.

For anyone who is looking for this comment, I'm here to help! I got my braces 2 days ago, and it hurts to chew, I got upper braces only, since I have a crossbite, and it does hurt to chew, but it's not that bad. It depends on the person I guess but for me it hurts when I eat but it's not unbearable. I can eat stuff like chicken nuggets if I use the side of my mouth to chew slightly. It does hurt the sides of my mouth, and there is cuts, but I just distract myself and the pain goes away, I don't use painkillers, but I eat ice cream or something cold for pain. And apparently it takes 3-5 days or even a week for it not to hurt to chew down on food and to be able to eat normally. So it will take another few days for me but I'm looking forward to it! :)) Also apparently you feel the same discomfort when you get them refitted and they change wire so it'll be another 3-5 days pain when you do get them refitted. :D Good luck to everyone and if you have any questions ask me, and I'll try to answer them! :D Edit: Im also getting my braces off in eight months so a short amount of time for me since the cross bite isn't major and it wasn't a must to get braces I just wanted them to have straight teeth 💀🙏 Edit: my teeth didn't hurt after a week :) also getting them refitted this Thursday :)

I’m on the second day of braces. Eating is like the most painful thing you could ever imagine. Even the slightest touch of my teeth absolutley kills. My food and drink now consists of: Pasta Mashed potatoes Soup Smoothies Ice cold water I really hope this pain goes somewhat soon because this is absolutely killing

it took me a full month to be able to eat like normal again with no pain. i swear for the first month my teeth were in so much pain when i bit down on anything it was awful

I don’t know why people are saying that it is really really discomforting, it only feels that something is stuck on your teeth and nothing else, it might pain a little but not too much to worry about and it also feels like something is pulling them(teeth) inwards

Got it yesterday... No serious pain but lower incisors hurt when touched with the upper one. Trouble in having food.. Little pain while brushing. Hope for the good. 11-dec-22

Just got them today, It’s kinda annoying but 3 hours after I got them I ate a sandwich. (I reeeally hope I didn’t mess anything up lol) It was hard though, I could eat that sandwich in 2 mins and it took me 10 minutes to eat it because of the pain, especially in my front teeth. But I have a lot of pain tolerance so it’s okay. After 1 week I think that it’ll get better. Good luck everyone, we will get through this!❤️

For the first week or so my braces hurt so much but they are fine now

just got mine last week Saturday... i have had them for a week and a day, so far its good but at first i could not eat any solids, it was just yesterday when i ate solid food with little pain. One thing i hate about them so far is how food keeps getting stuck. Update y'all when i get them off.

I got my braces on the front six teeths only so chewing isn't painful for me 😅after a month I'm gonna have braces on my lower teeth too... Then I'll share my experience 😂

I just got my braces it has been 5-6 days The first 3 days those hurt like hell Ohh myy godd I tried to eat stuff from the 4th day and I just gave up I mean I'm constantly scared of the food getting stuck in my braces And it does get. After every meal I eat I spend 20 minutes to remove the food out of them. I just does not feel good to have that food stuck in your mouth. And when I think of the fucking effort that takes to remove the food. I just feel like surviving on liquid. Now I don't even crave for my favorite food.

After putting braces the only thing I could do without pain was to drink water or juice or liquid anything....but I was not able to eat anything at all because of the pain

Got my braces two days ago, and I’m fucked this is not discomfort 😇😭. My front teeth so painful. I couldnt even eat except for smoothies. I try to chew slowly but it seems i can’t, then trouble with ulcer is real tho! 😭 Need to endure for 3 years! I guess my weight loss journey will be done within few months 😂

I got my braces today and it didn't really hurt when they were putting it on but it hurts so bad when I try to bite, I have to eat it like a lollipop

I got braces on my upper teeth 2 days ago..and it doesnt hurt at all...i was thinking of worst but so far going good and i am eating all kind of things..maybe it will hurt on my coming appointment when wire will be adjusted..scared 😢

To those who are getting braces , lemme recommend you something .. soups, mashed potatoes ,ramen, pasta ,etc.. if you're teeths in pain try cold water or icecream or anything cold to help it like it works miracles.. DO NOT put rice or anything in the mixer and eat it coz it horrible like listen to me it's horrible

bro how come are yall in shambles in like your 2nd or 3rd day with braces? My experience was pretty good, i felt NO PAIN at all except a bit soreness when i woke up the other day after getting braces.

Założyłam wczoraj aparat szcerze mówiąc jest tragedia. Od razu po wizycie odkleiły mi się trzy zameczki i muszę czekać na przyklejenie ich 2 tyg 😢, ja wiem że na początku najlepiej miękkie rzeczy ale coś czuję że przez najbliższy tydzień będę jadła same musy bo gryzienie teraz to duży problem
