We were here the same night and we used a different strategy: we entered via World Showcase at 6:45pm and hit all of the countries that would close at 10pm. As we worked our way around counter-clockwise, we hit 3 caballeros and Mission Space. By 9pm, we were at Moana (which was totally empty) and did that along with the Seas, The Land, Soarin, and Figment. We then made our way down to Remy's at about 10pm. Back around to do Guardians and Test Track, over to Frozen, then back up for one more Guardians at about 11:30pm. We finished with Spaceship Earth at midnight and were out of the park at 12:30am. So it is possible to do everything, including the World Showcase, but I will note that we skipped all of the world Showcase movies and didn't see every shop. A full day would definitely be needed if you wanted to truly see everything.
Wow, you got a lot packed into your night! I like the idea of doing World Showcase during the regular park hours. My focus was more on seeing what was possible to do in World Showcase during the event itself which was why I skipped it until later but I definitely agree the way you did it is the better way to go if you don’t have a full day. Thanks for watching and letting us know how your night at After Hours went. 😊
@@EarScouts hi Rob and spoonfight, we did a similar plan using the first couple of hours to let the grandkids explore China and Japan , the department store in Japan is their favorite. My daughter and I tried to catch American adventure but the attraction broke down at about a third in so we missed some great animatronics. We were there last august and thought it was great during the really hot weather but our only problem was we were staying at the dolphin and there were no boats running when the event ended at 1 ( the gondolas also closed at 10:30). It was a loong walk back to the hotel at 1 am especially when you’re 75. I’m assuming you have to get a bus back to the Epcot resorts or skyliner resorts at the event closure and people staying at those hotels should be aware if they are handling it the same as last year and people are planning to leave from the international gateway..
Thanks so much for mentioning this. I really should include it in future After Hours videos. The only transportation that runs for these After Hours events are the buses, there’s no monorails, boats or Skyliners and that really is a good thing for people to know. Thanks for sharing!
I should have mentioned what we did for parking. We parked in the main EPCOT lot in the afternoon and spent the afternoon and evening exploring the Skyliner resorts and Boardwalk area. Just park and take the bus from EPCOT to Hollywood Studios. Then you can walk, boat, or Skyliner to the International Gateway. Once you finish the EPCOT after hours event, your car is right there in the main lot.
Heigh-Ho Powers family! It was so lovely meeting you in front of Spaceship Earth and I’m so glad you saw the video. Also, thank you so much for the generous super thanks - it was very kind of you and very much appreciated. Hopefully we will cross paths again next time you visit the parks.😊
This was SO helpful! Thank you! This was exactly the info I was looking for to decide whether or not to purchase these tickets for upcoming trip. I’m the Disney person in the family ~ with teenager boys in tow. They’re great sports about coming to Disney with mom, but I find these events can definitely be worth it for a situation such as mine. I love coasters, none of my kids do. At an event like this I can ride what I want with much less stress knowing they won’t have to wait on me as long as they would during regular park hours. They are old enough to handle themselves, it’s not that, it’s just that they are already only there to be nice to me , it seems like more fun for all as well as good momming to reward such niceties. These events are worth the money as long as they don’t get greedy and start making them bigger. I’ll pay premium prices for premium experiences. Last year when we were at Disney we did an after hours event at Hollywood Studios. We are all Star Wars fans though so we all wanted to ride the same stuff. This was literally perfect, thank you. Loved the posted vs actual wait times and ride length times too. I am going to go buy those tickets right now! Thanks again. Subscribed .
It would be so awesome to ride the Guardians of the Galaxy ride over and over again. My dream is to ride it while “Everybody Wants to Rule the World” is playing.
Our Spaceship Earth ride was like yours Rob. When sat approx.10 mins before we got started, and had some extra time on two other stops. But, it didn't matter. We still enjoy that old ride.
We were at epcot after hour event last year. I had everything planned out but my son loves the galaxy ride, we didn't do the frozen, the test and 2 of the other small ride. But we did 3 times of the galaxy. Couldn't be more happier.
We had Spaceship Earth stop 3 out 4 times on us last fall. It was about 45-50 minutes on the ride. We wondered, more than once, if we'd be evacuated, but we weren't.
What's up Rob I met you that night in front of the Land pavilion. I spotted myself in the video at 6:26 just a dark blurry image but still cool. Thanks for the informative videos. I might do an Epcot event just to ride guardian over and over.
Just back from a great trip, and we used all your tips to perfection to get virtual queues and make great use of Genie+ all week! The only thing missing was we don't cross paths with you in the parks. Next time! Thanks for all you do!
So sorry we missed you but really glad to hear you had a great time in the parks. Thanks so much for making our videos part of your Disney adventure - hopefully we will cross pats next time you’re here!😊
So glad to hear you’ve been enjoying the videos. Thanks so much for supporting our channel and taking the time to leave this sweet message. Keep thinking happy thoughts! 😊
We followed you and watched all the video leading up to our 2023 trip to Disney, it made for such a fabulous trip that we are heading back for March 2024. Is there any more news about a changing to gene +? We are curious if this will happen before we go and how that will look.
Good review, thanks Rob. It really looks like Disney penny pinched here. The fact that not everything was open. And people thought the economies would end when Bad Bob left 😉
Thanks so much for all of great videos - you had me fully prepped for our first trip last Easter (genie and I were besties)!! What are the crowds like at the after hour events when it sells out?? Still able to get on the e-ticket rides quickly? We’re going back again over Easter, so know it will busy during regular park hours and assume the after hours will sell out. How does this compare to the deluxe resort extended hours? I assume this is much less crowded? We did extended last year at Epcot and still long waits for e-ticket rides. Thanks so much!! Again, your videos are just the best!
Another great video, thanks Rob! Going to be stacking lightning lanes for Epcot (from home) on Friday. Getting to the park around 2pm. Any chance I can book Remy at 7a and Frozen will still be available at the 11a window? Thanks for everything you do!!
Great video!! I think Epcot AH is by far the least impressive. I loved my MK AH night seeing Enchantment at the tip of Main Street with nobody beside me was the best!!!
Can anyone tell me what the average wait time for guardians is throughout the night of the event? I'd love to get as many rides on that as possible with little wait time.
Great information on this event! Really surprised and disappointed about the lack of characters. That could be a big draw to offset the lack of rides. Also, I couldn't disagree more about Luminous. It's hands down my favorite nighttime spectacular, but then again Epcot is hands down my favorite park (Harmonious notwithstanding tho 👎) But that's what makes WDW so special. Something for everyone!
Hey Triton! I totally agree - it’s a bummer that they didn’t add more to this event this year, especially characters since they were such a focus at Hollywood Studios and made that such a special event. I’m really glad to hear that you love the new show at EPCOT. I agree, there’s definitely something for everyone at Disney World and that’s part of what makes it such an amazing place. Thanks as always for watching! 😊
Not everything is open. Most shops were closed. I’m pretty sure Les Halles bakery was closed, but I didn’t go check it. But the bakery in Norway was open as were the shopping areas in the center of the Mexico pavilion.
Tickets are $149 - $159 per person depending on the day. Same price for the 6 year old, though I’m pretty sure kids under 3 are free. Thanks for watching! 😃
