Ricky Johnson landed in a fucking helicopter at a motorcross track in England he had a broken arm at the time. It must of been 90s maybe late 80s my mate got his autograph. I had a broken arm as well at the time I tried to get he’s autograph as well. he turned away it broke my fucking heart . He was my ultimate legend Still is

I like that Rick is keeping it real! "How can a human being be that strong? This is bullshit!", he said. LOL! Rick is the man and will always be!

I had to be about 7 years old when I first seen Rick Johnson race. It was in San Diego where he was from. Raceway 117 off the 905 in Southern San Diego. He was already expert and would race 125 expert 250 expert and the 500 expert. Back to back to back. His mechanic would be on the line with the 250 warming it up while Ricky J just finished smoking the 125 expert class. So as he finishes smoking the 250 expert class his mechanic has his YZ 500 warming up. Also the races were on a Wednesday night. I remember because I had school the next day.

Really enjoyed watching this....I raced motocross in the 80’s and early 90’s and had pics of RJ, Johnny O, and Micky Diamond, on the wall while I worked on my bikes in the garage. Some of the best memories of my life going to the tracks, racing, hanging out after the race, and loving the sport. Its so cool to see your hero’s look back and talk about their careers, and life.

Don't feel bad about racing your shadow, once, all day, I was showing off to a "deer feeder". How many kids know what a "Rolodex" is?

I’ve never been a rick Johnson fan and I can’t say this changed my mind about him but it was a great interview to hear his stories and perspective on what I only got to read about as all my childhood Mx knowledge came from reading magazines we didn’t have the luxury of internet and RU-vid

Interview is great, but what's up with the guy wearing knit hat? Is So Cal that chilly? Btw, I raced in '86, and RJ was so inspiring with his contributions to the Dirt Bike mags!

Fri nite, midnight, youtube surfing, and I find this. Ricky has been my hero forever. When I think of true things, original things......things like an old pair of Nike's that are just right, ACDC, an 80's Chevy half ton pickup, an 86 CR250, etc...I think of RJ. He was the toughest and the fastest but he was (and is) a great guy. I can say that and I've never even met him.
