How Israel Greened its desert in Becoming a World’s largest produce exporter
How Israel became the most advanced country in Agriculture in the Desert
Israeli area is composed of a desert, Israel began planning while taking this projection as seriously as possible. As a result, Israel is currently regarded as one of the top water and agricultural product providers.
Israel's agriculture has grown astoundingly due to the constant water supply. Israel manages $2 billion worth of agricultural sales each year, with an unexpectedly large portion of profits coming from fruits and vegetables. They created a method known as "Drip Irrigation" that increases agricultural yields while allowing water savings of 6%. This method applies water to the plant's root system drop by drop. Another technique called fertigation, which uses drip irrigation and fertilizers, enhances the drip irrigation process. Israeli automated desert agricultural technology was recently hailed by the American Society for Horticultural Sciences as "one of the most important developments in food production in the last 100 years."
Israel is using a mix of both tech and planning to achieve astounding results in agriculture. Israel's large and growing precision agriculture sector comprises more than 450 companies offering advanced data collection and analysis technologies for more efficient and productive farming. These companies help farmers integrate all their agricultural data from multiple sources, i.e., imaging, weather stations, in-field sensors, etc. Among these companies, a few perform accurate real-time tests of plant tissue, soil, and water in the field, dramatically reducing the standard analysis procedure from 10 days to less than an hour.
High-resolution aerial imaging with computer vision and artificial intelligence is being used to show farmers what's happening in their plots down to the insect and leaf level and analyze that data to provide decision-making support. Another issue that farmers need is a need for exporting logistics and support. Many companies across the country give farmers constantly updated regulatory guidelines on a single dashboard. For instance, if a customer wants to sell in Walmart, the app automatically applies the relevant US regulations to the growing plant. This system also helps farmers manage resources, administrative processes and daily functionality with calendars, checklists, reports, maps, and digital document storage. Farming cooperatives can use the platform to assist and manage member growers.
Along with agriculture, the aquaculture industry is growing an average of 6 percent annually to meet the ever-rising demand for fish and seafood. But, with more than half the fish consumed around the world grown on farms where fish are crowded into tanks and given massive amounts of antibiotics, hormones and pesticides, there's an urgent need for sustainable and healthful solutions for commercial fisheries. So Israeli tech geeks developed a plug‐and‐play all-in-one water treatment system for aquaculture. The system increases fish productivity, has a minimal ecological footprint, enhances water conditions, and significantly grows profitability. If you compare Israel's current and past satellite views, you will see a significant improvement. You can visually see more green belts than barren dunes. Following a roadmap that helped Israel turn its deserts into a farmland oasis is beneficial for Israel and an example for other countries to follow.

No, Your Isreal is nothing but continous genocide in what was a peaceful, easy going world! Israel is a Western (Anglo-Saxon, French,...) invention to keep Palestineans, Arabs, Muslims, and Mid-Easterns from enjoying a happy, quite, fruitful life! You're always talking about the "progress" and "advancement" of Israel and Israel technology, but you try to burry the simple fact: If Israel was not implanted among us, on our land, we would have advanced a long way forwards! The proof: Look to South East Asia, how it has advanced quickly after becoming independent and got red of Western domination, and above all, no dagger called ISRAEL is inserted in their backside! 😡 And don't forget that the West (especially USA and Germany) was/ is pouring more than $50000000 worth of aid to Israel--ANUALLY!

For anyone watching this video: the people who made this video didn’t do enough research ahead of time when they made this video. It’s as if they only used the results from the first page of google searches about Israel. For example, we don’t have 13 million people. We have around 7million. The rest live in Palestine, which isn’t technically Israel. But I can understand the confusion there, so that’s fine. However, it’s absolutely hilarious to say we didn’t “invest in EXPENSIVE desalination plants” and “instead” just harvested crops that could handle the salt. Umm… excuse me, we are one of the world leaders in desalination technologies…

That's a nice change of information about your country, as I'm more used about negative stuff coming out from there (like oppressive surveillance and control high tech for example). It's so refreshing to see that your country do use its tech for great beneficial stuff too, that's impressive stuff, a much deserved highlight !
@Scifiwriting41

@@nlight8769 those who want to spread negativity will do so. it's not at all like we started off only using tech for oppression, no more than any other government does. Israel has a higher need for security tech, so it uses more security tech. Simple as that. We have always been a hub for innovation and technology. The negativity you keep hearing is coming from people that don't like us. I'm sure the people who dislike you will also have very little nice things to say about you. The difference is in our case our enemies are constantly conspiring to eradicate us.

I live along the Rio Grande River and they flood their pecan groves instead of using drip irrigation. The few farmers that do drip irrigation sell their excess water and it pays for itself in just a few years in water sales let alone lower water costs as there are old water rights agreements going back over 150 years and more. Some don't farm hardly at all (must farm something or no water) and just sell their water.

Drip irrigation together with planting plants, that can handle more saline conditions is revolutionary easy to reproduce around the globe. I also really like the many ways deserts around the globes are greened, of course only those that will last. Certain techniques of digging half moons for water detention or of putting in rocks in a stream are truly simple, but with amazing results. I always wonder why we can put billions into the sky, but not millions into helping people to live sustainably. May all choose to invest their money in projects that aid humans and animals alike.

After they pay the countries who actually discovered these ideas because this country sure didn't, to make it look different is all this country may have done (that's called upgrading, retrofitting, etcetera (only if it actually works better) it's not called Inventing. Where is their main water supply coming from - Syrians water supply???
@alexv259
@alexv259 Год назад
By exporting agricultural advancements, they COLLECTIVELY raise the quality of air, soil and water in the long run. Just like bees pollinate among trees regardless of borders, this man-made regional transformation in 50-100 years will show its great benefits.

I can imagine 4 or 5 stupid leaders from surrounding countries actually paying Israel money for someone else's invention that can easily be discovered by google. If I were in charge of exporting, I'd charge like $500 per drip hose, and that doesn't include delivery or installation lol

“Also I will restore the captivity of My people Israel, And they will rebuild the ruined cities and live in them; They will also plant vineyards and drink their wine, And make gardens and eat their fruit. “I will also plant them on their land, And they will not again be rooted out from their land Which I have given them,” Says the LORD your God. Seems rather biased view. Here's a short extract from Wikipedia after Google search "River Jordan" : A 2010 study found that the Lower Jordan River has been reduced to 2% of its historic flow.[23] Water quality has also deteriorated sharply, with high levels of salinity and pollution from agricultural fertilizer and untreated wastewater upstream in Israel and the West Bank.[24] Conflict about the waters of the Jordan River was a contributing factor to the Six-Day War when, starting in 1965, Syria attempted to divert some of its headwaters in collaboration with Lebanon and Jordan.[25] The diversion works would have reduced the water availability for Israel's carrier by about 35%, and Israel's overall water supply by about 11%.[26]

Sorry but Israel did not invent these methods, nor were any of their claims backed by factual analysis. I love me some Israelis, but let's not have them inventing the wheel in 1960. Trickle/drip irrigation has been invented by countless people almost as long as people have been farming. The Egyptians, as an example, knew the importance of a constant and steady way of watering crops, to reduce stress on them, and also to conserve the available water. Again, love me some Israelis, but this is propaganda.

Since growing population and less and less people growing, it's best techniques...in fact in my state we use drip irrigation since May be 10 years when severe draught occured for 2 straight years and that technique helped save water and optimum utilisation of water and could save the farm...but in UN and WTO everyone is bitching about food security and inflation...if we don't grow enough ofcourse there will be inflation since demand is high and supply is less
