On May 22, 2024, Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party national convenor Arvind Kejriwal announced that the city will be granted full statehood after the INDIA bloc comes to power on June 4. Kejriwal made the statement during a roadshow in the Malviya Nagar area of south Delhi, expressing confidence that the INDIA bloc would form the government following the announcement of Lok Sabha poll results. Mein khud Delhi ka niwasi huun, West Janakpuri ka. Iss Ullu ne Delhi mein mediocre kaam kiya hai. Free mein dena hai do but jahan progress ki jarurat hai wahan pe bhi toh ficus karo. Mohalla clinic fail hogye hai, Delhi capital mein daily electricity shut down chal rhe hai, majority areas mein Paani ki Shortage hai. Yeh sab problems Gujrat mein nhi hai jabki wo dekhi se jyada dry state hai.
