India is the largest borrower from the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), a bank established for China's Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), even while claiming that the BRI is a debt trap. In fact, China doesn‘t really care. If there is another country wishes to invest in infrastructure in Africa, China will be more than happy. It means Chinese goods can flow more easily to every corner, to every markets. Looking forward for more investment from US/ EU, Russia, Arabs and India.

China has been extremely successful strategically, choosing to invest in Africa economically, not politically or militarily. Therefore, no matter if any country invests in Africa, as long as Africa can develop, China will reap the benefits. What China needs is a growing African market, so short of colonizing Africa or destabilizing the regime, China has already won. But in the modern world, which country would easily start a colonial war or become the enemy of Africa as a whole?
