@@tarrysmile I was also thinking Post Partum Depression, but she keeps being evil until she's this age, so it's not that. I think that she's ultimately a malignant narcissist. She's very manipulative and does everything that benefits her ego, even her "love" for her children is based on their dependence on her and if they can make her proud. The moment they begin to contradict her, she shames them.

So satisfying ❤ finally a FL who didn't forgive the family just because they cried or said sorry nor did she forgive when the father was dying. She did not forgive anyone till the end. This is what I like to read before I start a drama. I lose my mind when there is a knife-blocking forgiveness scene or when they say “let bygones be bygones” and forget all the cruelty done to them.

Excellent drama. SPOILER ALERT Finally, a drama where the FL is reborn to cut her toxic family out of her life, and get the best revenge by shining brightly. Her awful family reaps what they sowed and, after increasingly bad decisions, hits rock bottom. At least, one by one, they learnt to regret how they treated the FL for the 5 years that she lived with them. So glad she didn't forgive them, as they were more sorry for themselves than about how they treated her. People like that will never change, and that mother raised all her children to be "what benefits me 1st"! 😢 The ML silently supported the FL's dreams, before confessing and then waiting for her to be ready. His adorable pursuit of her.... so cute! The scheming adopted daughter was vile, but I hated her family more as they showered the adopted daughter with love and gifts, while starving and abusing the biological FL. 😢 Her best friend and teacher were lovely advocates for her too. ❤

1:15:38 not him calling her “wife” by mistake 😂😂😂 bruh 2:02:26 they don’t make men like this anymore 😭 Honestly the only one who actually cared about the family was the elder sister (relatively speaking) the elder brother as much as he says he feels bad and guilty, he was just like is father trying to gain something from FL always talking about help after apology The younger brother really thought he suffered as much as she did or that he can always make up and she SHOULD forgive cuz they are “family” Mother was straight up psychopath not gonna talk about her or the step daughter But the moment the sister knew where she went wrong she didn’t even dare to ask for forgiveness until the last moment 2:09:57 all she cared was what she can do to make things a little better for her sister but the moment she saw FL shining she stepped away and only approached her when she wanted to talk about her coming back home (still didn’t force her) Not saying she should forgive her for this but it was nice to see one normal person in the family! Overall I love the FL stood firm and didn’t forgive them cuz they don’t deserve it ! No moral kidnappings I love it ML is sooooooo cute and sweet where are men like this in dramas these days 😢❤ 10/10 satisfied with the ending

You made excellent points. I feel the same way, and wanted to comment much the same about Older Sister. Older Sister seemed like she was truly sorry, and just wanted the best for FL. It seems like she was the only one who really did. Well said about Movie Star Bro, he was too self centered to really understand anyone else's point of view, or suffering. Dad was only looking for what FL could do for him, at least until the very very end, when he may have cared just a little. Science Bro, I'm not quite sure about him, he wasn't as developed as the others. But he wasn't looking out for FL interests like Older Sister was. Adopted Sister was deliberately vicious, and was never sorry. And finally, Mom was crazy. After exposing her mindset at the party, she should have been committed for some serious psychiatric help. But Older Sister seemed to acknowledge her mistakes and as you said, want what was best for FL, over everything else. But I think she couldn't quite understand how completely FL wanted to cut the FaMiLy relationship off. Especially after reading the diary, and without living through and remembering the 3 years of pain and suffering FL went through as she was dying of cancer. I think the diary showed the younger, still family positive version of FL, without a lot of the slow build up of despair to her desperate act of self preservation... The total breaking of ties. If Older Sister thought the diary represented FL's current mindset, I guess it's easy to see why she misunderstood and thought "family" was something FL still wanted. I think maybe another Older Sister really wanted FL to come back, was so she could make it up to her. Forgiveness, or at least contrition, is often desired by a person who knows that were seriously at fault. At first, I found this show to be good, but a bit too much of a fantasy, as she over succeeded in everything (in a single month got a head R&D position, took over running a new lab, developed a drug, got it to market, made huge profits, and became famous) and ,'Everyone Will Be Sorry When I'm Gone' (and they were), kind of way. But I felt it got more serious as it went on, or the emotions became better written. Because for all that the FL went on to live a good life, and showed the family they were wrong about her, etc, I found it a somewhat sad story. Maybe because a lot of the shoe was from Older Sister's point of view. Or maybe because there was at least one person, Older Sister, who wanted to make up for the past, and love FL. To truly love her. And that is a sad thing to miss. For both individuals.

I watched this same story in gender reverse version. In that story ML reborn and have 3 elder sister and one adopted brother who wants to supress him. After reborn again he and his friends make fortune for them and no love angle. But in this story not many things accurate and her friend only have little role but another version his friends make a significant part of ML's success. Also they add a childhood sweetheart part who is rich man I mean Why they can show that she may have a strong personality after rebirth and she can rely on herself. Anyway CEO is rich and handsome 😅.

I kind of hate these storylines because they exaggerate the abuse to make the lead the most pitiful character in existence. She even has a diary to add to the pity and the family members read it one by one and start feeling regretful. At that point, the characters are basically caricatures instead of real people, but I'm a softie so when I see (some) of the family repenting knowing they wont be forgiven I feel bad for them. Like seeing the eldest sister reading her diary and feeling sorry, knowing from the comments their family is going to be ruined, I feel so uncomfortable. It's true that they weren't good to her, but exaggerating it for pity points and then ruining her family after they start regretting what they did to her goes a little too far for me. It's hard to take a lot of these family revenge stories seriously because they're so over the top. Stories created solely to put a specific set of people down (this time, her family) make me uncomfortable. If it's revenge, I prefer ones where they make the villains as evil as possible, with no regret, so I don't start feeling bad for them. I'll probably just skip through for the relationship.

I am so glad they read her diary. Now they know how stupid they are. Even though they mistreated her, this girl cared and did so much for this family that they were to stupid and evil to realize it. Her brother dared to say "I was just joking with her." That wasn't a joke, that was torture and abuse. The girl has stomach cancer yet her evil mother and family lock her up without food, accuse her of stealing, and say she has bad habits. What about them? Look how they act and treat her. And they want to talk when they treat that girl like dirt? It's no wonder she cut ties and doesn't want to see or return to that evil family. That family is so evil can't tell right from wrong. They abandoned, abused, tortured, and neglected her.

It's because of they so called pride. They value their name but its just the name and nit its essence. I hate the mother who abandoned fl. She puts the blame on the unborn child coz her husband cheated. Even if she treats fl like trash fl did not blame her while fl was at their home. She doesn't deserve to be fl's mother even if she regrets it.
