Gurrrrrl, get used to hamburger-size cucarachas in Mexico, because if you don’t put sliding screens on your side and back doors, ‘them thangs be sleeping with you in your van bed! (Ps: they fly and they can bite!) 😱😩🦗🦂🦎🦟🐜🍔🚐
@@avnisharma2244 about 2 inches on average. And don’t forget the snakes, tarantulas, millipedes, scorpions and the kissing bug which can transmit Chagas’ disease. Oh, and the ants of all sizes, and even the microscopic can bite. Mosquitoes, of course. Yes, I still love Mexico 🇲🇽🤗😍🦟🐁🦗🐍🐛🦂
Watching this video, now explains the long gap in between videos. No need for any apologies for "ghosting" as you call it. Banned from flight because of dogs. Roaches in the AirBnb. Broken phone. Hello Miss Susicruz, your mini van is in the parking lot where I live !!!!, it is in Cancun where I saw your mini van, I can't believe it, seeing your videos are very great and very informative, greetings, and keep it up, many of us like your content !!!!
I want to say sorry you're having a rough time. But I do recommended that you use cash through out your trip. You are going to find out that only a few places accept credit cards. Also have toilet paper where ever you go you'll find out why.
I'm gonna assume you didn't check beforehand about the traveling and travel restrictions with pets that could have completely eliminated all of that to know you couldn't fly with the dogs...also best practices in Mexico PAY WITH CASH AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE... y'all should have converted currency prior to leaving... Come on chica! As well traveled as you are you should know this by now!!
They can fly with dogs just because the dog is over the weight they can't but they knew they are, just before they managed to enter with them on board.
There are a lot of negative comments. Not really sure why. But, love watching you and Tobi! Glad you guys are living your best life and enjoying Mexico. To all the negative people, if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all.
@@blackwomanorangecat lol.. you are really pressed about this video, huh? Use your emotional energy on more important things in the world than getting angry about a video being “boring”.
I'm confused didn't you guys check this beforehand? Travel is already very difficult now but everyone must be aware especially if travel with pets. As of right now Volaris Air is only airline in Mexico allowing ESA dogs. I feel bad for you gutys! We had to drive all through Mexico cuz airlines don't take my dog(chow) . Travel by car is super easy with pets but airlines even in cargo, have strict restrictions in Mexico.
Do they? I travelled with my cats in Mexico and many accepted pets and for cargo hold was same as in Europe. Sturdy cage and health certificate and 900 pesos price per pet. I had three cats on the flight with Viva aerobus

Ahhhh my sister and I used to use hairspray to make the cockroaches stick to the floor and then put a cup over it hahah!! That was in Crete and Thailand
@@renemichaelk whaaaaat?! Everyone is undressed out here in Mexico . Mostly European going around in thongs and really shorts shorts. Mexico is a very liberal country. have you been?
@@ravoelevates5688 Mexico is a very large country with substantial differences from region to region. You WILL notice differences in attire. If you're in tourist areas, it's very liberal. Most of Mexico is not a tourist area.
I'm sad to see quite a few negative comments... Personally I really enjoyed the video. I don't know about other people, but while travelling things usually go wrong. Yes, Susi and Tobi could have researched a bit more, but there's always more things you can inform yourself about... I think they wanted to take the chance of maybe not being able to fly with the dogs, just like they did in Amsterdam. My guess is, they thought Mexico wouldn't be as strict so they just tried it. I'm confident that Susi and Tobi will manage just fine being in Mexico. I'm also pretty sure both of them speak a bit of Spanish as well, so they aren't completely clueless. They're two adults, know how to handle their things and have each other as well... so let them have a bit of fun. They'll manage any difficult situations just fine :) Looking forward to Part 3 of the Mexico Series
Have a great time and stay safe! It's a beautiful country full of great people and a wonderful culture. I mainly traveled in Central Mexico close to Mexico City avoiding the tourist spots to get a true flavor of the culture and people. Also the weather is cooler due to the high altitude. I recommend Puebla, Tlaxcala, Pachuca and of course you have to visit Teotihuacan to see the Pyramid of the Sun and Moon. Just one piece of advice as a fellow traveler to Mexico, be careful with some if the street food and do not drink or give the dogs tap water, even when you brush your teeth, use bottled water. Believe me I learned from experience, it's called Montezuma's revenge and it's not pretty🤢😵🤒
One of you should have gotten on the plane alone and the other one stay with the dogs, the one in the plane fetches their van and drives it back to the one left behind, then the second person flies over alone to get their van and stays in their van while the first person drives through the border with the two dogs, if they won’t let the first person through with papers for a dog that is not in their name then the second person drives to the first person and picks up their dog and both drive their own vans with their own dogs to the destination! Saves the loss of maybe one plane ticket if you can’t travel later on the same ticket!
yeah but it’s better if they stay together, specially for her safety,,,, being alone in mexico without knowing how to get around is pretty dangerous, especially with all that luggage
@@miud2201 but if she was the one in a bnb with 2 dogs with her at all times then he could go back on the plane and get her vehicle while she slept in his with the dogs or stay in an air bnb till he drove her van back she would be ok, just thinking of finance, they lost the price of 2 air tickets.
@@munchkinheaven7877 true, i guess they just didn’t want to risk it??? it would be safer to do that but he’d still be at risk of getting jumped or something, not a super high risk but still there ya know??

Mexico is a beautiful country but not easy to maneuver if your don’t know the language, culture, customs or use to the weather. US would have been ideal for van life especially in California. Much love and blessings to you & Tobi ❤️
Yes, they literally went out of cash, nor did they investigate the airlines. Having used a bit of Google and his 5 day trip would have been only a few hours. Or they should have started in the US and then went down to Mexico 🤷🏻♀️
It's quite stupid, hectic and expensive to travel around the World with an animal!! Some countries, like the UK for instance, requires a six-months health quarantine for animals brought into the country!! Others, won't allow dogs into trains&buses unless they're "guide dogs", ....etc.
Here we go with these PATHETIC comments. Stop watching CORRUPT CRIMINAL GOOGLE,MSM,NETFLIX and RU-vid. Oh...you mean they are having a blast and met the most nicest, welcoming, inclusive, hard working people in Mexico you will ever meet in the world. The biggest treasure of Mexico are the people. Let me educate you a bit more 😉 Mexico is rich in many natural resources and is the country that works most hours daily in the world. Mexico has the largest economy in Latin America and it's 14th in the world. Mexico is 6th in world tourism before "Pandemic" not counting cruises or else it will be 2nd in the world, now 3rd in world tourism. There are thousands of thousands of U.S. Nationals,Canadians, Europeans and other countries living very happy and drama free in Mexico. Not counting the the massive immigrants from other countries that don't work and do Horrible things in Mexico unfortunately. The largest Amish community in the world is in Mexico. There is way more corruption, crime, violence and poverty in other countries than in Mexico,I can assure you. Makes me laugh that people think that U.S.,Canada,Europe and other countries are first world countries where nothing happens,NOT AT ALL.

I’ve been to mexico many times. If you’re not in a tourist area you’ll really need to know Spanish. Also it’s important to have pesos with you ( convert your money) before you start your travel. I don’t like using my card out there because there’s always crazy extra fees. hope things have gotten better ❤️
Susi, you are THE person who has everything to make lemonade when lemons are thrown at you. I died laughing when the dogs were jumping up and down in concern when you were screaming. I think its cockroach season lol I have them in abundance here too. Stay safe my dear! Love from Cappadocia
So sad people in the comments talk of Mexico like a really dangerous country, I am sure most eople never even been. I arrived in Mexico with 50 euros in my pocket....I only met kindness and amazing people and a safe, calm and developed country with so much to offer for travellers and tourists. No wonder thousands of travellers decide to settle here permanently. I can't speak for the crime since this is in specific areas ofthe country specifically near the US borders and like every country in the world there is crime. Our European countries do a good job of hiding the extent of the crime but it is indeed just as bad as those areas of Mexico. But overall what is in the media about Mexico it's an exaggeration, in fact it has one of the safest cities in the world which is Merida
3:33 Thats what we call tamales literally my favorite dish we usually have it during Christmas time with hot chocolate literally the best! 9:03 that’s what we call a Huarache which means Sandro in Spanish literally one of my favorites as well I think it’s called that because it’s has a shape of a sandal lol
I hope you guys got past all the drama and you get to enjoy your travels. I think you need a back up plan for just about everything before engaging into this kind of journey. thanks for sharing. best of health and safe travels.
Omg traveling to Mexico can be so hectic at times and things can go wrong really fast. I really wish you would do more research and planning on where you’re going and the currency situation. It’s not a fantasy land where you can just wing everything without troubling and scary experiences. Take care girl!
I'm really just so concerned for your safety at this point... Mexico can be a really dangerous place to be for two young, careless people who don't plan, don't inform themselves, are high all the time, have no money and speak no Spanish. I hope you take really good care of yourselves and each other and also your dogs. Please don't forget that they are under stress as well, especially with the heat and no routine! Not to mention all your Instagram stories where you drive your van while filming and talking to the camera. That's simply insane. Man kann auch Spaß haben und gleichzeitig verantwortungsvoll handeln.
Lola things do and can happen if being reckless ... My hubby is from Veracruz and we travel and yes rules do apply depending where you are in the world ...just be vigilant and be careful thats all ...
@@lucyfioriti2179 Exactly That applies for the whole world. It's ignorant people that as soon as Mexico comes up people automatically love to talk 💩. Card skimming is a big problem in Mexico as well. I would be super careful about how you organize your finances and be aware of the possibility of dodgy machines that will skim your card.
