After the attack on Russian territory, Sweden is preparing to send its military advisers to Ukraine

The Swedish government has tasked the Defense Matériel Administration with exploring the possibility of establishing a presence in Ukraine from autumn 2024. This decision could lead to the stationing of several Swedish officials in Ukraine to provide on-site support for defense procurement, as announced by Swedish Defense Minister Pål Jonson, according to Försvarssektorn Nyheter.
While there is strong military support in terms of equipment and training, Ukraine’s most allies, including the US and Germany, have been clear in their reluctance to deploy “boots on the ground,” largely due to concerns over escalating the conflict and triggering a direct confrontation with Russia.
The expanded role of Defense Matériel Administration is part of the government’s efforts to intensify support for Ukraine. The Swedish officials, expected to work from the Swedish embassy in Kyiv, will focus on ensuring maintenance, spare parts, and logistics for the military aid Sweden has already provided.
“We have provided extensive military support to Ukraine, and Defense Matériel Administration plays a crucial role in securing supply solutions,” Jonson stated.
Sweden’s military support to Ukraine has so far consisted of 16 aid packages totaling about $4,166 billion. The donated equipment includes combat vehicle Stridsfordon 90, Stridsvagn 122 tanks, Archer artillery systems, and various types of anti-tank missiles and advanced ammunition. FMV’s new mission will include analyzing and learning from how this equipment has performed in combat.
“We naturally want to bring home lessons from this,” Jonson emphasized.
Defense Matériel Administration’s role is also linked to the fact that Sweden’s defense material resources are becoming limited. Jonson stressed that Sweden must now transition from donating surplus equipment to producing new equipment specifically for Ukraine.
In addition, Sweden has ordered about 1,000 CV90 combat vehicles for Ukraine, which will be produced at facilities in Sweden and the Netherlands and delivered to Ukraine.
Ukraine is expected to receive the first vehicles from the Netherlands in 2026, which will also be manufactured in the Netherlands. The Netherlands is investing more than €400 million in a Swedish fund to ensure the production of CV90 combat vehicles for Ukraine.

Who knew Russia would perform so horribly, and expose themselves as not only not having the second best military in the world, but likely not even in the top ten best militaries in the world. 1656 - 1658 sweden had a war with them 1700 - 1721 another war 1741- 1748 another war 1788 - 1790 guess what, another war The list is long, I think the last time sweden actually had a face to face battle with russia was in the 1800's, when finland was lost. After that it's mostly been spies, subs and other kinda shady things. Oh yeah not to forget the russian planes that keep intruding on swedish air space.

I can bet anything that if Putin could go back in time he would shoot himself for thinking about invading Ukraine. The nightmare he has cornered himself into has no good ending. All the countries he tried to intimidate have shed their neutrality cloaks and joined NATO. European leaders Great Britain, Germany, France , Poland and others now openly support Ukraine with massive military aid. With the exception of China and India, all the important economies have diminished their trade with Russia. For the first time since WW2 a foreign military has invaded and occupied parts of Russia. Yet there is nothing that Putin can do right now that will give Russia a positive ending. I wonder how long it will take leaders in Russia to pull the plug before this lunatic drag the whole country into hell with him.

and the leopard 1 and 2 tanks there were many problems with, especially leopard 1, Germany which we had to buy and send them together with and train the Ukrainians, there were lots of faults with them so we had to offer Germany to send Danish technicians they had not enough, but it's getting done, it seems there are still some 1's being worked on, but leopard 2 we bought with Holland has all been sent to Ukraine. but we have plans to buy more, so let's hope it goes faster next time, the arms industry in Germany will probably pick up speed, I'm sure, as long as there is a prospect of arms purchase for a long time so it pays off to increase capacity. having 0 weapons industry has been a challenge, usually not but since 2022 😕

If you're fit healthy and of battle fighting age go and join Ukraine and help end this war. Even if you can't fight, you can do everything such as transport jobs cooking helping with the wounded there's a lot of things you can do to help Ukraine without going on the battlefield.

That is great by USA. USA has 35 times Sweden's population but have been sending 95 times more worth of support to Ukraine Since Russia launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Sweden has provided military, humanitarian and civil support to support Ukraine. Since February 2022, Sweden contributed approximately SEK 52 billion (approx. EUR 4,5 billion*) to various initiatives that support Ukraine (29 May 2024). Together with the EU, Sweden has also adopted macroeconomic support and several sanctions packages against Russia.
