Bro it sounds like a cartoon villain raising an evil demon-beast from the dead to rule the land. This vocalist makes the song. I can't even listen to the remade album.
@@blvdes ahhh.. that breakdown is what ruins the song completely… the drum pattern change to that continued riff is the best part of the entire song and it’s gone on the newer version.
As a stand-alone song the original Cursing Akhenaten may be on the short list for the best song in the history of metal. The vocals fit this song PERFECTLY. It literally sounds like an evil villain raising a cursed demon to rule over the land. The next vocalist fits all the stuff they did after but this vocalist MAKES this album...and he killed the song. Plus the ending should have never been changed.
gawd i kno right. don't understand the whole re issue move cuz its b/s compared 2 this. i was furious when i listen 2 re issue think'n it was just remaster wanting 2hear after the burial i remembered years ago. cant phuck w/ perfection
@@alexzanderzamora331 it's also worth noting that there are a few rare live performances with some rareform songs that have Nick on vocals still so he definitely wrote some of the material before Grant was in the picture
No offense to the new vocalist. And I love how they Palm mute the breakdown at the end of New version. But there sometime about how the vocalist screams this song... I love this version so much better.
