I've watched three season summaries so far - and you've done a fine job. I've sampled clips from the series for a couple of years and got to see, "Oppenheimer," before Cillian Murphy received his Oscar. Fine actor. I was prompted to respond here as you end your summaries with a, "moral." I let the first two go unchallenged - but I have a dissenting opinion. Certainly, I've gotten caught up in the drama - even in these reviews. Yet, from my previous sampling of clips, I know Tommy and his clan have chosen an illegal, violent path. As well as being hurt, they hurt others - and there are no good guys, just sides. I come from a generation that mostly was taught, "Crime doesn't pay" - until the, "Godfather," was released. After that, it seems that we are inclined to glorify criminal activity and admire those who are smart enough and ballsy enough to attain some level of success. We're still shown the consequences - "You reap what you sow" - yet the appeal seems to remain undiminished. You mentioned loyalty in this last summary - but for decades I've wondered, "Is there honor among thieves?" Those in the Cosa Nostra / Mafia and other criminal organizations may argue they do maintain honor. Yet to me, if the god you worship is money and you're willing to pursue it by any means necessary, then, I think honor goes out the window. So, to me, the moral is avoiding that lifestyle at all costs....
