COMPONENTS - Love it or hate it, the art is what it is. The cards are fine, and so far I haven't noticed a major difference between core and expansion cards. I can't bring myself to play a game i dislike the art of. I already had a copy of the base game, that I eventually gave away. And as a followup, I haven't played Spirit Island for the same reason. "Beauty" is subjective, so this is not criticism:) It goes both ways, BTW. I still own Starship Captains and Wreckland Run bcs I like the art so much, despite not having a desire to play either one. Brains are funny.

The base game was allready a lot of fun but with the expansion they just slugged it out of the ball park into outer space, straight to Andromeda. So much continuous fun and entertainment all while so incredibly satisfying! 😁 Edit: Never played it solo.

Why does the dog have a giant head and small body, but the horse is normal lol. Sorry cant get past the art ,don't care if its best game of all time, what were they thinking.

I believe the dog is from the core game and the horse is from the expansion. The art definitely got better with the expansion, but you’re right that can set up weird comparisons 😅

Yeah, I won't buy this due to the art. I have considered printing the Calvin and Hobbes fan made version though as it looks great. If I were to ever do that, I would probably buy a copy of this game just to support the publisher/designer but would hide it in the closet so nobody could see it.

BTW question :when you save a surviver and you can get cards from the area is it a new rule? I don't remember it in the original

Do you mean the new special card deck? Yes, that’s new from the expansion. But if you mean getting free cards added to your deck when saving survivors, that’s always been a core rule option

Just to be extra clear, getting the card is an OPTION, and if you choose to get the card you do NOT get to moved your tracker of saved survivors. So for example, if you are in a mission where you need to save a certain number of survivors, taking the free card means you don’t get closer to actually winning the scenario, so you have to make tough choices. Hope that is clear!

Finally my number one game of all time get gameplay again Still not get how to play it Co-op so if you will give gameplay co-op it will be great

We don’t generally do coop plays (though I suppose I could multihand), but it’s straightforward enough. You can attack each other’s zombies, and you play your turns simultaneously. That’s about it :)

What is the point of the crawling zombies if you can just always delay them?

If you always delay them, they never go back to the zombie pile, meaning you have one fewer level 1 zombie and will spawn 2-4 that much faster. Hope that makes sense!

Expansion needs the same art to be consistent. Hopefully some day it will get a 2nd edition with new art, some more cards and a bit more interactivity somehow. In some of those long scenarios (without expansion) you go through about the whole deck

The art is the least problem of this game, there are a lot of ugly games anyway euro mostly
