You should let her relatives encouraged her to go get her ears checked. I believe it's clogged with wax. I know an elderly man, couldn't hear, when the doctor looked inside the ear, wax blocked the canal. Him can hear good now.
It's pointless trying to argue with grandma. Old folks normally don't have much patience. She has good memory so it's obvious somebody removed her bag. At her age, just let her continue chatting till it wear off. Don't prolong the argument with her. She will eventually quiet down. Once the bed is tidied just put back her bags with all her "corouches" back onto her bed where she can readily find them. That's just the way old folks are.

In response to why her grandson can't provide her with food until her helper arrives, it's because he don't know that the younger generation has a responsibility to support their aging family members. This lack of interest suggests that he genuinely do not care. If he and the rest of the family cared, Noel wouldn't need to step in to assist with her daily needs, such as laundry, household chores, home maintenance, meal preparation, and shopping.
