Afterburn (On-Ride 4K) Carowinds

Please tell me how you get the courage to ride this...that feeling in your stomach I hate it- I've never ridden a roller coasger because of it but next time I go I'll first start off with a baby ride, the vortex...but I heard its really painful

The loop is so high up and the ride is so loud you can hear it through the whole park.... I seriously want to go on it

Crixllex I started my roller coaster journey recently at Dollywood with the Tennessee Tornado... there's no good way to make that feeling in your stomach go away but you can continuously up your way on the coaster ladder. If you want to start at Carowinds I recommend ricochet as one of the first ones you should go on. Not very intense but still thrilling enough to put you in the spirit of accomplishment and persistence.

I don’t remember anything from the ride except when afterwards my friend told me I was screaming I repent the whole tome

It feels a lot tighter than other B&M invert drops. Every time we turned into the drop, I could feel the forces in my legs. Maybe it’s cause I’m taller and my long legs can dangle about but I do love me some inverts

It is underrated but fury 325 is just so good it over shadows the rest of the rides

Its scarier than fury in my opinion lol

I think when you have negative G’s combined with lateral like on this drop it kinda negates that feeling. But since fury, hurler and intimidator only have negative g’s on that first drop you get the insane tickling feeling. I say that because on that one ride that looks like a 2 stroke prop engine in aeronautica landing and it spins everyone in circles, crossing eachothers paths, the tickle feeling was very prominent, but on electrospin since you’re revolving diagonally around the ride as well as revolving at the tip of the ride as well as spinning in your seat, there was very minimal to non existent tickling.

Same here. My Brother has been hounding me to go lately sending me all these video clips of the Roller Coasters and they aren't exactly making me want to go very badly because the rides looking Terrifying to me lol. I like the old school Roller Coasters that didn't go as high in the air and then drop straight down and flip you in every direction possible. Too scary for me sorry. But he'll probably end up dragging me on some of them knowing him lol.

He should be glad you didn't make him ride it in the summer. Runs a tiny bit faster when the track and wheels are warm.

I didn’t know there rides are up during winterfest.

I am not sure if you rode it or not but it’s a VERY cool ride it gives me so much adrenaline so if you ever go to Carowinds please ride it!!

I am not sure if you've had the chance to do so yet but please do. I used to be terrified of heights and coasters in general. This ride is not bad and just really fun! This helped me get over my fear of heights and even drops :)
