How is it up around Easley? Got a buddy that lives next to what looks like a large pond behind Crestview village apartments at the end of players drive. Have not heard from him since 5am the morning the storm came through.

@@TheBeardedGrump The savivors, even if not at loss, what wil they do. So many budinesses are destroyed and the buildings will have to be torn completely down. We went thru this two years back just on a much smaller scale. You saw some of it on your KAT ride. People adapt. It will change things for generations. Now to find the lost

Yeah western NC got absolutely hammered with rain. Worst flooding they've ever had. A lot of those people lost everything

Im just North of you guys in the upstate near Jonesville out in the country. We had same amount damage up here, power luckily came back noon Saturday. Our county is still around 78% without power.

I haven't had a chance to check out lake Hartwell if that's what you are referring to.

Tell that to the people that lost everything in NC and TN. It doesn't matter if it's different or not. Have there been worse storms maybe but that doesn't have anything to do with it at this moment

@@TheBeardedGrump I can. Stop building out of sticks in flood zones. Dont bitch to me about getting wiped out every time the storm blows. Part of my family owns a stone build house next to a small mountain river and got flooded more times than I can remember. Every time this happens they dry their stuff out, pump out the basement and go on living. Their house was build in 1901. In America You build quick and that makes it cheap. Show me a dwelling that is 300 years old today and I will show you not a single 2×4 holding it up but a real wood timbers and stone masonry.

@@Liberty4Ever well everything besides jacket and gloves. Most people that commit about what gear I wear or don't wear don't even wear good boots when they ride. This is not directed at you but I get that comment way more than I should

@@TheBeardedGrump - I'm an ATGATT kinda guy, so I was admittedly busting your chops a little, but hopefully not too much. I'm trying to convince people to wear the gear more often, and nagging usually has the opposite effect. I put on my helmet and usually my jacket and gloves to ride down the short hill into my backyard. It's surprising how little of a fall can cause brain damage. I've always worn heavy boots, but my buddy Moto Giant wrecked at 80 MPH a few months ago and lost his right leg below the knee even though he was wearing heavy Red Wing work boots. He's currently learning to walk with a prosthetic leg. He's posting videos of that on his channel if you're interested. After that, I bought knee height O'neil motocross boots. I'm sure they'd provide a lot of protection if I crashed, but I'm not sure how much their reduced flexibility and mobility might cause me to crash, so I'm uncertain of whether they'll add to my overall safety.

@@Liberty4Ever I've been following Don's channel for awhile. I'm happy to see he is doing well in his recovery. Trust me motocross boots are the way to go and definitely offer way more protection than work boots. I know I would have had 2 broken legs along with my broken back if I wouldn't have been wearing motocross boots when I crashed. I believe in wearing gear but I hardly ever wear a jacket.

Not me. He has blessed me more than I deserve. Saved me from being paralyzed and now from having my house destroyed. Just 2 examples of many blessings.

Yep, He healed me and has blessed us more than we deserve too. God is good

I don't get involved in politics. I'm just sad to see the areas I love to ride in get destroyed and I'm even more sad for the people that lost everything including some of my family members. 🙏

I think they are in about the same situation that we are here
