We had a 1586 and a 1566. Except for when the linkage was worn on the 66, I don’t recall shifting issues with either other than down shifting. But it’s been 30 years now so...
Ours needs some new paint. We still use the hell out of ours. Not sure if it was new when we got it, but it was old when I was born (I'm getting close to 40, damn I'm old). You can't read the dials, they're yellowed. Not sure on our hours.
No TA or you just don't use it for some reason? With this camera angle I can't see whether the lever is there. And did you install some secondary fuel shutoff in the dash? Looks like the engine stopped without pushing the throttle lever all the way left.
I have a few questions, 1: does this not have a TA because i can’t really tell where the stick is or whether it’s there, 2: do you have a shutoff other than the throttle because it shutoff without you moving the throttle, and 3 when I was a kid my great uncle had hundreds of old case tractors and he always told my to shift it more like a car where you go into gear throttle up then throttle down shift and so on do you know if there’s a special way to shift these because I see everyone doing it differently.
