Hi everyone, I really hope you enjoy this final instalment of my trip to London. If you would like to ‘buy me a coffee’ please click here www.buymeacoffee.com/nicolasfairford
Thank you, Nicolas Fairford. I am a full-time working Nurse and with a family of four children. I am always thrilled to listen to your videos and I just love tea as well( some me time). Thank you.
I’m American and was last in London in January 2020. I had a trip planned to go back again in May 2020 which obviously had to be cancelled. No use going if all the pubs are closed! So I’ve been living vicariously through you from your past few videos. My son was at Regents University and was sent home due to the pandemic. It broke my heart he had to leave!
"I never want money to be able to buy exclusivity." That was powerfully and beautifully said Nicholas. You're a rare and gracious person for even thinking it. Congratulations on the well-deserved growth of your channel! I remember watching your early videos some time ago and knowing rightaway that it was something special. As you grow beyond 100K, I hope that the personal and warm touch you bring to your channel always remains the same.
I have watched all of Nicholas' content. His vids are like ASMR meets cottage/slow living and I love it. But sadly you are wrong when you say money doesn't buy exclusivity. I wish it wasn't so, but it is.
@@traceychalkley9946 It's true that money buys exclusivity in the world we live in - I don't think any of us can dispute that reality. That wasn't the point I was making above. What is worth praising is Nicholas' unwillingness to co-opt that mindset, at least in the context of setting up a Patreon. That is what's refreshing to see, especially in the RU-vid community.
THANK YOU for caring about everyone and allowing us to see all your content, regardless of money. That was a sweet and beautiful thing to mention! Take care and thank you for your videos!
I must say, it is a lovely hotel. However, I honestly find your apartment much more beautiful. I think your furnishings are gracious and inviting, I don't find that to be true, even in such a fine hotel. I can appreciate the history, but given the choice, it would be most certainly, your beautiful home.
Just subbed. I was extremely distressed today and I accidentally discovered your channel. I previously had zero knowledge/interest of any of this stuff so I never thought that hearing someone tell me how to make tea would soothe the soul like your video did. There’s a magic to what you do
What a beautiful suite of rooms. The decor is stunning. What a treat to being able to view these rooms with you. Thank you Nicholas for another lovely visit to a place I would never get to see. The tea looks amazing too. Love and best wishes for a beautiful weekend. 🥰
Fabulous! I helped design that suite with a member of the Royal family. It’s been much too long since my last visit. Thank you for reminding me of its elegance & beauty. It is very nice to see someone going through there that truly appreciates all its unique attributes.
I recently did my house in British Colonial Chinoiserie with 18th C. antiques and Baker pieces, very similar. Also, blue and cream with burgundy and black. The walls are silk in a cream and icy blue dripping. The baths are similar with mahogany and carerra marble. The videos are always interesting. I appreciate these videos.
Nicolas, this was a glorious episode. Oh, maybe we can save up enough nickels to stay here even for a night when we visit, Lord willing! And, I really want to say to you thank you so much about the Patreon. I really love your idea much better. I think I always feel slighted/uncomfortable when other people have special and more content for those people, and I think it actually makes the owner of the channel a slave to it. Excellent choice and excellent wisdom!
Nicholas, you have done it again! Started my weekend off with elegance and beauty. I will be enjoying a glass of wine and strawberries now while I load the dishwasher and watch your video again! I look forward to "buying you a coffee" very soon (you are just so humble in your request). Looking forward to seeing you live on Sunday from my garden in the US. xo
Hey Roberta, thank you so much for becoming my first member! I am so happy to hear that these videos bring you joy! I will do my very best to keep inspiring! Much love, Nicolas X
What a marvellous treat! Thank you so much for sharing such a unique experience. This episode was an absolute delight. With so many travel restrictions , constraints and regulations this episode whisked us away from all of those limitations to an exquisitely regal experience. Thank you once again, Nicholas.
Thank you so much for sharing the exquisite surroundings of The Goring. It is one of my favourite hotels in London and your tour was so very informative and endearing. Nicholas you are a great presenter, generous with the details and personal descriptions you pick out and in providing us with the opportunity to have a glimpse into your beautiful world! I have no doubt that you are going places and will be a name to remember! I really enjoyed today’s episode - thank you so very much for making life more beautiful.
Four years ago my partner and I celebrated our 30th anniversary at The Goring. We could not believe our good fortune when we arrived and were upgraded to this very suite. It was beyond comfortable and so special. We’ve been back to The Goring many times since and I agree with you Nicolas, it’s our favourite hotel in the world! Thank you for the wonderful video, it brought back very happy memories.
Oh my heaven's that must have been an amazing moment for you! I've worked in hotels and resorts and upgrading when available is the best thing for customer retention :)
You are so sweet!! 💕 So glad we have the opportunity to buy you a coffee, (or should I say, an afternoon tea 😁) you work so hard for these videos and we absolutely love to watch them! It's really amazing that you want everyone to be able to enjoy them and deserve our support!
I love this hotel and I love that it looks like if you are staying in somebody's house instead of a hotel. I will definitely visit this hotel, when traveling to London is much more easier. I can't afford a room :) It always nice to have a great afternoon tea with beautiful and elegant surroundings and with so much history. Thank you for uploading this video , gives me so much inspiration.
So the throne room at the Goring Hotel has the same fabric as The Throne Room at Buckingham Palace! I hope that was an intentional bit of humor on their part!
Dear Nicholas, I absolutely love the way you are and your videos. You really inspire a lot of people. I really enjoy watching all your videos for all the ideas of holidays. Hope you your great job on RU-vid in 2024. 🏡☕️🥰
Thank you for this lovely video. Because of you, staying at the fabulous Goring Hotel is now on my bucket list. I cannot imagine a better place for Kate (now Princess Catherine) to spend the night before the wedding-that rooms looks like heaven! Afternoon tea there looks magnificent. Rather than coffee, we can buy you tea. 😊💕🍰🍮☕️🍵
Hello Nicolas.. this Goring experience was “top Shelf “. Your attention to detail and filming and presentation is appreciated so much and is what makes you a cut above others. You will get the rewards you so deserve .x
The hand painted wall covering with the chinoiserie feel is so lovely. Showering with a portrait of the queen behind glass is a little weird but fun. As a fellow maximalist, I enjoyed the many details you highlighted!
I'm sorry for being off-topic. I once toured a stately manor house in east England. One large room featured a ceiling of carved flowers, dozens of them, each unique. I've never been able to find a website with photos of this ceiling. I wonder if you've ever toured this manor?
Nicolas you’ve got to try orange zest, cinnamon and cloves tea, it is sooo good ! Thanks for the video I enjoyed the tour and the lovely afternoon tea, gorgeous place 😍😘
Thank you for sharing The Goring Hotel with us Nicolas. The sheep 🐑 in each bedroom made me smile. Here in Australia in the beautifully scenic Blue Mountains of New South Wales there is an exclusive resort called Lilianfels. It’s based around a grand historic family (former) home and each room has a kookaburra on the bed for guests. Very authentic Australian lol.
Nicolas, we are so lucky to have you and your wonderful videos! I never thought I’d see the day when men wear their pants at their waist again, you look so handsome. The hotel is stunning. Thank you!
Charming as usual ! And the details you talked about like the wall covering being the same as on the Titanic was really interesting! Thank you Nicolas for your beautiful tours of London!
Oh perhaps there is a video in the future with Lady C, the chatelaine of Castle Goring, with a shared appreciation for British architecture, style and traditions.
I'm so thankful I found this wonderful channel! Everything is done with such a perfection and elegance, interesting and enjoyable content accompanied by a calming and soothing voice. It really feels like visiting paradise!
I love your videos but that portrait in the shower is just too much for me. It just seems very strange. I think something else could be very beautiful there but not a portrait of a person. Just…… no.
I really enjoyed the video. The last bedroom was so calming. I love the little surprises in the glass frames. If you cant do Tea Time Treats you can do live afternoon teas so that you dont have to edit. ❤
so interesting and special...thank you for this suite tour...where a wonderful Kate spent her night before her wedding..to Prince William...WE ARE VERY PLEASED ;)...
I have a feeling you would have crossed paths with the lovely Princess Diana and you would have been friends. Love your channel. Unique, original and you have an old soul. Very classy and elegant.
I love staying always in luxury hotels when I travel abroad. I am fonder of special luxury hotels. Just I need a guider to indicate me where is the special one. You show us extraordinary hotel of london. I am so excited to accommodate next trip to london . thanks for your work.
Thank you for sharing some of the lovely places in London. Truly one of my favorite destinations many suns and moons ago. What an AMAZING LEGACY to be part of.!!! be
WOW!!!! Nicolas - THANK YOU so much for this Video! Kate is my favourite Royal (after of course The Queen) too! The Goring looks Elegant. Crown Damask wallcovering is exquisite. $50 Million Lottery tonight in Canada... who knows - maybe I'll be spending an Autumn stay at The Goring! One, can dream. BEST VLOG TO DATE! 🇨🇦👑🇬🇧🍰☕️🍾
Love to hear the history of the hotel and this room. So interesting. It is a beautiful place. I know it isn't everyone's taste, but I do love elegant looking wallpaper/fabric wall coverings in a room. What an interesting way to display the art in the shower. Thank you, Nicolas.
The Goring Hotel In London: Ornate. Lush. Luxurious. All Combined Creates Comfort. ...This is the message in a few words which Nicholas Fairford conveys in this wonderful video made in The Royal Suite where Kate Middleton stayed before marrying Prince William. ...Not one of us ever dreamed we'd see this place. I personally love the loo's wall covering which is identical to the palace's throne room wall covering...how much more divine could any loo ever be?! And the other fabric wall covering in the bedroom which is identical to wall covering used on The Titanic. ...Nicolas, I, as many others, am envious of your adventure here in this beautifully decadent atmosphere. Thank you so very much for sharing. ...And the gifted Goring Sheep is delightful! And, what a lovely delicious spread you enjoyed for afternoon tea!!! ...And then there's you as a most kind and gracious host. Thank you.
What a truly beautiful, elegant, yet very comfortable suite. I admire the detail and taste that the British Designers bring to the world. They have shown the other styles how design with honor to the past and a nod to present comforts. The gift of the Beautiful Sheep is touching.
from web -- various packages // historical hotel next to B palace ... From £500 per night Enjoy a long stay at The Goring with time to relax and get out and about - stay three nights for the price of two. In 1919, Lady Randolph Churchill, the mother of Winston Churchill, moved into The Goring Hotel.[6] During World War II, the Fox Film crew stayed at the hotel on their way to film footage of the D-Day invasion.[7] The hotel is the only remaining hotel in London that is still owned and run by the family that built it.[4] The Queen Mother was a regular at The Goring.[10] The Goring has held a royal warrant of appointment from Queen Elizabeth II since 2013, and it is the only hotel to have been granted this honor.[11]
Dreamy. I want to Thank You for all you've done for my insomnia. I turn on my sound machine, recall your latest peaceful retreat and the touring host and I'm off to a restful dreamland. It seems unreal, all the Beauty and Care that's in Every Detail. I surely appreciate your affection and attention to it all! XoXoX. Heavenly.
I was dubious about your claim about Kate Middleton but... from the BBC: "Kate Middleton to stay at Goring Hotel before wedding Kate Middleton is to stay at the Goring Hotel in Belgravia in London on the night before her wedding to Prince William. Ms Middleton will be staying in the Royal suite in the prestigious location. Published 15 April 2011 Section BBC News"
When I'm near to broke...I'd rather spend my last shackles on something splendid ie.Afternoon Tea Than a Trolley of cheap food yuk...rather go without, or something simple & freshly made...A celery soup with horseradish, under £5...xx
Greetings. Congrats Mr. Nicolas Fairford for 110k subscribers. Enticing us to visit the Royal Suite at The Goring Hotel in London. Wish we were there, just to have tea.

Dear Nicolas, your charming channel and vlogs are the highlight of the week here on RU-vid. Each episode is like visiting these places myself, even better, since you add such interesting items about the décor and history of your featured locations.
As usual, you have delivered a lovely and interesting video from The Goring Hotel. Thank you, I have enjoyed all your videos and will keep on watching. Take care.
The entire suite was gorgeous, but one of my favorite features was the sheep. 🐏. How adorable! As always, Nicolas, you are perfect in your presentation ❤️
