Thanks. I loved Cologne as I was there to check out all the Christmas markets. I’ve got a lot more afternoon teas booked for 2024. 🤗

Lovely video and appreciated your voice over 😊 The building noise must have affected the ambience. I’ve never seen a tea crème brûlée before which looked intriguing.

Yep it was such a shame. The tea crème brûlée was really nice along with the chocolate bon were my faves. 😋

This looked much better than I expected for a German afternoon tea, to their credit they are following afternoon tea traditions. I enjoyed seeing part of this famous hotel too.

Thank you for the video which was interesting. Like you said, where's the menu? Sandwich top ups? Why not? The Excelsior Hotel has been recommended to me in the past when I was thinking of a trip but it didn't happen. The hotel itself looked great. Sad you had the din in the background. Foreground more like!! English afternoon tea cannot be beaten 🎉. Love from the south coast of England.

Yep it was a bit odd not having a menu on the website and also when I arrived. I've never actually had that before as I would always at least be handed a menu on what is in the afternoon tea. When I asked the staff member they advised they just make what they decide on the day. The height of the table and seats were a little strange too. Both were very low, so it felt more like a lounge style area and not the most comfortable way to eat an afternoon tea. The hotel interior did look lovely but I would suggest checking before you book to stay there in case any other work is happening in the hotel. Have a great weekend! 🤗

It’s such a shame about the building noise. Before you explained the situation, I thought a ship was nearby!

Yep it was a surprise they were still running the afternoon tea bookings as it was constant throughout my whole afternoon tea. That’s why I had to do voiceovers over most my audio as you couldn’t hear me over the noise. Was not relaxing at all. Such a shame. I suggest if anybody goes there, to check first when work is getting completed. 🤷‍♀️ Thanks for watching!

Hello! I did not notice any background noise, but of course, I take your word for it. BTW you look lovely, unless I am wrong (I was once before, in 1910...) your hair looks much lighter. It suits you! About the menu, I had the impression that the sandwiches were a bit dry, but it was not the case; however, I do agree with you that at such a price serving a plain ham sandwich is not on. The XL "Ferrero Rocher" 😁looked great and so did the tangerine cheesecake 🤩How did I envy you at that moment! 😁Overall, it seemed to me a very nice experience for 66 euros (background noise excepted, it was not their fault). Thank you! Best wishes.

Yes I had to do voiceovers over the footage as it was too loud when I replayed my footage. The hotel were having reno/maintenance doing which is why there was drilling & hammering when I visited the hotel. I had balayage on my hair so it looks a little lighter in the video. The sandwiches were very bland but I loved the tea creme brûlée and the chocolate bon. I might try making the tea creme brûlée myself as I liked the idea of it. Thanks for watching and have a lovely weekend! 🤗

As soon as I sat down and heard that noise- I would have said sorry this is not relaxing-cancel my reservation and left.

I was surprised they even held the afternoon tea but the staff were nice and I did think the desserts were fun. The hotel inside did look stunning too. Thanks for watching!
