I just realized this might actually be true (apart from the baked goods enterprise bit) because there no way he'd be able to afford the stuff he did for Afton robotics

I honestly think William may have had a bad childhood/adolescence (As described in the book), but at the time of building the animatronics and the bite he was already a heartless psychopath. And I don't mean someone who behaves like one, I mean a really one

While William is now seen as a heartless monster, I don't think it started like that. Honestly, we don't even know what Williams childhood was like. For all we know, he could have either had a good or bad one. Either way, I believe in Matpats theory that William's evil persona came from him learning Henrys secret of why he was doing better than him when they were *possibly* business rivals. Considering one Fazbear Fights book seems to support that Henry started his business with the mediocre melodies *(at least 2 of them)*, and he is capable of making wooden puppets come to life without the use of electronics. William meanwhile, was struggling to compete with Henry. It wouldn't be far fetched (no pun intended), to assume William was the one who wanted to partner up with Henry. Because he wanted to learn Henrys secret. Matpat thinks William killed Charlie out of spite, because he was obsessed and jealous of Henry, but I think there's more to it than that. William could have spent so much time trying to learn Henrys success that Mrs. Afton wanted to leave him for spending less time with his family. It could explain her absence, and why there are only brief mentions of her like Ballora and the staff bot in the paper room. If Matpats theory that the Ruin DLC is the FINAL showdown against William is true, we can hope that this could give us a chance to properly learn about this characters origin, and ending him once and for all. He is a monster now, but he wasn't always like this.

Like many serial killers in real life might have traumatic bad childhood but Still that don't justifying their atrocities. Everyone else just go through exactly same similar situations suffering tragedies as them But Never became a Monster like them. It's Their Own Choices.
