Clara's parents are very manipulative and pretty terrible. They may want what's best but their methods are pretty wrong.

Her parents want her to get married, they want her to look absolutely "perfect", force her to do things she is opposed to, and on top of that they want her to complete her education and do something great in life. I feel sad for her.
Back in the past series when Clara's parents visited the Aftons, I just thought they were probably snobbish high class people looking at William like he's a peon But that's actually way worse than I imagined! They are extremely manipulative as in guilt tripping Clara or showing disappointment. It's also a form of child abuse.

Yes Michael… your not the only one with pain, everyone in your family has gone through their own ways of pain, everyone in the world has gone through their own pain whether it was small or big, pain is something that shouldn’t be ignored, pain strangely unifies others, so no mike, your not alone, and I hope that this experience teaches you to think more carefully about your choices, no clara is not in the right either, everyone is in the wrong, so for all aftons, use this experience and make up, your family, and family shouldn’t fight

I find it somewhat ironic that Clara's life was her parents treating her like a doll yet she turned William into a literal doll. You know how people say I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy well that's exactly what she did to William she turned him into a doll never let him speak told him to do everything she said perfectly and if he didn't she'd emotionally and physically torture him she became way worse than her parents

Lovely? Supportive? They quite literally guilt-trip Clara, forced her into an arranged marriage, and forced her to break up with William. Is that supportive or lovely to you?
Hmm… I’m hoping either we’ll have an episode where we come back to each situation or maybe we’ll have a longer one at the end where everyone gets more time to introspect and reflect on what they just experienced and how that affected the person they viewed the life of. But lol when Mike was like “why is this dress so tight…? DRESS!?” that was hilarious. And then a date with Jordan-I can’t even lololololllll! Everything that we possibly wouldn’t have wanted to happen happened. As funny as it is, I feel bad for Mike. I hope he gets some time to chew on these facts for a bit and think about how that affected the way his mom raised them, why she acts the way she does, and how he treats her may affect her. (Also at least Clara didn’t visit William that day-)
If we compare the lives of Michael and Clara, then Michael was abused by his father, and Clara became a victim of "ideality for parents." It would be interesting if everyone felt pain, had the thoughts of the other, but could not say anything. It would be more interesting to watch, since you can make things for yourself, and here you are such a spirit feeling pain

this is just like Isabela Madrigal from Encanto, just like Clara. She doesnt complain on tight dresses, but she is in pain. And from Isabela, she tried her best to be perfect, and she is dating the person that she dont like, and same as Clara, but Clara never had a good ending except for her adult life, poor Clara.
