In this video, join the Sheila Larson, a Hamilton County, Iowa turkey farmer, as she shows and explains how turkeys are raised on her farm. Learn how farmers keep their turkeys safe, what a turkey barn looks like, what turkeys eat, and so much more!
FarmChat® is a unique program that utilizes technology to bring the farm experience directly into the classroom. Using a laptop at the school and a mobile device at the farm, students connect with and directly speak with the farmer. Students can see the farm and ask questions all from the safety and security of their classroom.
