Aganaga aganaga muganagaiye Muganaga muganaga murunagaiye The smile of her heart adorns her face like jewellery A smile on her face a smile that is youthful. Murunaga murunaga tharunagaiye Tharunaga tharunaga varunanaiye A smile that is youthful a smile so gorgeous A smile so gorgeous just like the rain #tamil Ilango Krishnan you gem! 💎
This songs reminds "How gorgeous my mother tongue Tamil is!!!" 😍😍😍. Even our most Tami people don't understand the lyrics. But it's still sounds beutiful. This is one of the greatest song lyrics of all time.
In a small country in Malaysia, ARR managed to entertain 73,000 capacity crowd and it was a record in Malaysia... His composition always hit our heart. We able to connect with his love in his music. In all his songs, it breaks all the rules. It's like 10 songs compressed to 1 song. It's magical
We don't care about Malay or Malaysian Artists ...but thanks for listening to our Indian Tamil Artists... We are delighted your small country is blessed by us ...

Shakthisree Gopalan is the singer, one of the best female singers from South India according to me, her voice man damnn! Just melts in my heart, you guys should check out, her other songs 'naan nee', 'yaanji', 'vaaya en veera', etc too, such an underrated singer
the song lyrics is written in such a way that kundavai ( Trisha ) speaks about her love for chola land. she sings about its water falls, wealthy land ,the trees etc. she is smiling for some reason. she asks them ( water falls , trees , the flowers - chola country). who is the one making me smile? she loves chola land more than her mother ,father or brothers or even more than her vandhiyadevan. the lyrics perfectly written as per the novel.
I'm from Bihar , I don't understand a single word but find it very soothing. I wish I already know 3 language but wish i would learn more to hear some more beautiful songs. 😘
@@sabharinath9814 may be kids from 2000 will have tough time to understand. I am from the early 80s where i have seen movies with Literature Tamizh hence people from my generation "MAY" understand. 👍🏾
@@sabharinath9814 @William Satish It will be hard for people who took German, French as Second language instead of Tamil..🤦🤦😂 I am a 2k kid and I understood the entire song..
Out of all the reactions made to this song, only Rick noticed that the lead singer Shakthishree Gopalan sang the entire verse in a single breath. Amazing reaction to this amazing song
Oh wow...Heavenly❤❤ Enjoyed Rick going through all those emotions...as the notes went up and down, Rick got that and enjoyed it thoroughly...like us👏👏👏❤️❤️
Ponniyin selvan 1 & 2 is not about action its about love , affection, betrayal, vengance, care between aishwarya rai and vikram And love between Trisha and karthi Jayam ravi and sobita Jayam ravi and aishwarya lakshmi
The song is so beautiful that I wanted to know Rick’s and Korbin’s reaction. Discovered that Rick is kinda like me. I’m looking at the technical aspects too while enjoying the song. Korbin was so immersed in the melody that he himself became the flower floating in the river.
Extraordinary Music, Vocals & Lyrics. This song is a never ending orgasm of musical pleasures. Tamil poetry of highest degree. National Awards are guaranteed for A.R Rahman, Singer Sakthisree & Lyricist Elango.
The title line of this song was a part of the BGM from PS1, which became so popular that there were clips being made by Indian artists on the song. Also, you should check out the Kannada language version of this song "Kirunage" which is very well sung.
I just have to say, ur reactions are not stupid anymore.. U guys know to appreciate things the way they are. Glad that Rick found the single breath moment in the song. Keep up your good work..
A beautiful reaction buy by 2 white guys. 😊So glad that you can appreciate Indian music especially a melody like that. Cant wait to watch part 2.Love from South Africa ❤
@rick you r one of the rarest person who appreciates and find every small details . I watched many reactions of this song by Indians and Tamils, but no one observed the breathless lines… 👏👏👏👏😂
the song was composed before the shoot of ponniyinselvan. Rahman took the first stanza of the song and made as a bgm using more strings in love scene between kundavai and vandhiyadevan. bgm- sweet song- melodious.
If one could understand tamil lyrics then would reach heaven while listening this song.... Such poetic words Tamil language have... I'm all amazed by Tamil lyrics as usual...❤😊
You are not alone Rick and Korbin. Most of India does not understand the lyrics. And the production house doesn't care. But still listen to this song simply because its composed by A.R.Rahman.
"IF CLOUDS CLOUDS SING, THEY WOULD SING LIKE THAT" TAMIL AND NATURE ARE TWO AND ONE, FOR WHOM WHO DON'T ACCLIMATE (TECHNICAL respond physiologically or behaviourally to a change in an environmental factor under controlled conditions.)
My dream came true! After PSI, the BGM has been my phone ringtone and how I wished a full song created... And today is the Day I am indulging the song on a repeat mode... Thanks ARR and Shakthishree... There is a magic in this one!
With the chaotic life day in and day out..... 5mins of relaxation feels heaven...... I feel this song feels really soothing for body and soul 😇 for that 5mins
Once again this song proves how B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L TAMIL is!!! Translation hasn't, doesn't and can't ever give you the true essence and emotion behind the words and how they are placed. But yeah you could get a teeny bit of the beauty. Bliss!
ponniyinselvan is one of best album by arr and the background score in PS1 was fantastic. he asked the lyricist ( illango krishnan ) to write lyrics for the face off bgm ( saaya sanjale) he told him that it should not be understandable . if its understandable people will focus on the lyrics rather than the scene. they should not understand the bgm ,they should only focus on the scene. the bgm has deep meaning too. this is what makes him great among other MD'S of india. many are doing rock music for historical movies .
Aganaga Aganaga Muganagaiye Ho When my heart breaks into a smile, my face smiles too. Muganaga Muganaga Murunagaiye Ho When my face breaks into a smile, flowers smile too. Murunaga Murunaga Tharunagaiye Ho Ho When flowers break into a smile, trees smile too. Tharunaga Tharunaga Varunanaiye When trees break into smile, buds smile too. Yaradhu Yaradhu Punnagai Korppadhu Who can it be? Who weaves this garland of smiles? Yavilum Yavilum En Manam Serppadhu Who is in everything? Who has tied my heart to everything around me?
I did not expect action from the movie, infact I was worried they would infuse unreal action stunts to satiate commercial audience but thank God it did not happen,I do not blame the people who expected a period action film as you cannot expect everyone to read the books or so,The intended audience were happy,I was happy 😁
Korbin is right....do not expect action in the 2nd part. It is all the emotional drama between the characters and mysteries between them....when I read the book series for the first time I remember being glued to the book all to know mystery after mystery unfold....hoping Mani Ratnam makes you all feel the same way 🙂
You should check out a song called MINNAL ORU KODI from a Tamil movie called V.I.P released in 1997 . And another song called KADHAL KADITHAM from the Tamil movie JODI .

Gosh, I love you guys and the way you dissect this song!!! Looks like you guys are pretty strongly connected with Indian films and Indian music. Yes - this is a love song between the character of "Vandhiyathevan" (played by Karthi) and "Kundhavai" (played by Trisha). Looking fwd to more of such dissections from you both!!
It is not an action story/ movie at all guys!!.. This is about relationships & politics of great Indian dynasty that once ruled the South East Asia 1000yrs ago!..
Book lovers of PS would love to see each book part as a movie. That being said.. Among the people who tried to bring the book on screen mani rathnam did a decent job. This is a political drama with some regular war/fight scenes. I do not know why people who has no inkling about the book content is expecting an off the chart fight scenes.. Just because it is set in historical times does not mean people have to fight each other all the time.. There were civilizations more secured and rooted to have peaceful periods.
The song may feature fleetingly in PS2...thanks to merciless editing...which is a shame...but then Mani Sir is constantly evolving as a filmmaker...and looks to cut down anything that stalls the plot...in recent movies...
Please react to the new trailer for the Tamil movie “Pathu Thala” starring STR, and AR Rahman is the music composer for this movie 🔥 Subtitles are available.
You should see your heads swaying while listening to this song. Now you might understand the Joke of Indians moving our heads so much in our conversations.🙂
