Camping in heavy rain storms is the best! The sound is so soothing. People think I’m nuts because I love to camp in storms, but judging by the comments here, I’m not alone.
I can just lay on the bed in the tent and listen to the rain all night long. You are one lucky guy. In Singapore we need a license to camp. But we don’t have open spaces. Very small developed country. So I watch a lot of camping videos and camp in spirit with you guys. Best part is we don’t need to be rich to enjoy such pleasures. Thanks for the sensuous video.
Having to get a license to camp seems extreme, even if space is limited. Here we have campgrounds, just bring your tent or trailer and pay the fees, we also have an abundance of unused woodlands, just be careful with your cooking and take a stove with you so you don't burn the forest down. I spent many summers living in the tent, as a weekend was never enough for me
I love a good steady rain fall. It makes me relax and nap. Beautiful scenery around for you to look at. Couldn't ask for a more calming situation. Thank you for sharing.
I live in Central California USA and the only time we "might" get a storm like this is during the winter months. I envy you, enjoying the wind and sounds of rain to relax you. I was actually dozing off listening to the rain. Good lengthy video AND NOT boring. Great visual & sound content.
I’m with you Grandpa. This Grandma lives outside San Diego (So. California) and dearly love the sound of rain…probably because we get so little. I really enjoyed this video. 🥰
Aloha Andy! Thanks for sharing! You keep us engaged by the cc's of what your doing and what is happening around you. Even though actions speak louder than words, your video makes it feel like we are actually there with you. Much mahalos!
Mother Nature in all her awesome 👌 splendor 🌳 ⛅ 🌧 🎉 and there you are, in the middle of it. Please stand outside, blow as hard as you can and send some rain to South Africa. How awesome and how green with jealousy I am. But green's a good colour. A colour of fields, fauna and flora and just what our earth needs. Have super duper camps 🏕 and cheers 🍻. Enjoy!
I'm from Canada in suburb of city of Toronto.... My unforgettable experienced is when we drove to Nova Scotia with my wife and son.....just a vacation trip...we spend camping where we have to spend the night...and I found a camping ground...all amenities are there....and the camp owner gave us a spot...where we can spend days if we want too....the first night after I have finished setting up our tent and everything... Just after dinner....it rain continuously... With thunder and lightning... The best sleep of our life....tired from driving...I really love the darkness inside the tent and the sound of the rain hitting the tent...unforgettable experienced.
Thank you bro for presenting a nice video of your camping in the rain. Enjoyed a lot with natural sound and the rain water. Video is beautiful, all the very best bro.. I know it was a tough weather, but you managed everything. I am watching from Kerala, India and I am a backpacker too.
This was such a good video. I enjoy rain & hearing the rain so authentic sounding & seeing it made the atmosphere, for me, so Serene. Your taking time out to Pray, praise & glorify God was the Topping ON The Cake for me. God Bless
So many times I see camping reviews talking about rain and all I see in most of them is light rain. This is a good bit of heavy rainfall to really test a tent. I get it that the vestibule has no floor, for lightness and to keep down the bulk of the pack but its nice to have one.
I can't stand tents without a floor. The times I've had to use one I brought a floor tarp. It is personal preference, but I find them very uncomfortable. This does look like a good tent anyway.
You're better off without a floor everywhere under the tent in the Winter. It is a 4 season tent with a stove jack. Hot tents get real messy fast when snow covers everything. I know there is no snow, obviously. Even now, tracking mud and water all over the floor would make it a mess. It's just my opinion.
Hot tent has a place for wood stove. And when we light a fire, there will be condensation and dew dripping. If you use a tarp floor in the stove area, the tarp will get wet too.
@@eastern.forester That's why I'd want a really large tarp over my tent so that I could leave doors wide open. That condensation could be kept at at a minimum. With the tarp edges lowered but not touching the ground to prevent horizontal rain or snow from blowing in. A short tarp or a piece of clear plastic that could block those things from entering the tarp. If it's placed a few feet away from the big tarp on the windward side it should work. I'd definitely place it with one edge on the ground and the other being up as high as needed.
Besides the wood stove situation, this is a vestibule so that you having living/eating space in poor weather. You don’t want to actually cook in your tent because of condensation (and food smell for bears, etc.), and you don’t want your dirty shoes making a mess on the actual tent floor.
@@MattCorkum I'm aware that you really shouldn't cook in your tent because you will probably attract predators if you do. Big cats are a real danger too.
What incredible views! Just beautiful! That tent seems very cool. I love it. And I can’t believe you carried all of that to where you are. I wouldn’t have made it at all. 😅 Thank you for this! And I love the rain!
Hi Andy!! Thanks for another great video.I really like this tent and the beautiful scenery. I'd say you picked a good spot to really capture the wind and rain sounds on this one as always. ♥ 😏
Hello Andy, this is the nicest camping video I’ve ever watched. It’s so refreshing how you interact with your viewers, telling them things you see, for example the speed of the clouds or dark skies and so on. Some things may seem obvious but it’s nice you pointing this out, like the tent you described as lightweight, or a new table you got. It makes me feel part of this. Absolutely awesome. New subscriber and I can’t wait for the next rain camping video. Stay safe and thank you 😊❤🙏🥰👏👍👋
Hello Andy I just subscribed as I used to camp with my three children when they were young. We always loved the rain and wind while we were all in our sleeping bags for the night. Greetings to you from us here in Nottinghamshire UK😊😊
Man i thought sure i was subscribed. I wondered why i wasn't seeing your videos. I made sure to subscribe today and turn on all notifications. I don't want to miss any more of your videos!
I love your videos❗ I always wait for the latest videos from you, always look forward to it all the time. I waited until my motorbike and I fell freely into a deep abyss, as deep as your heart, Andy😢
