In order to get to airships from the techs he would need to do more than what he would be capable of with all the hostile ocean activity. An underwater base and Island with sugar for the energy drinks. Would not last from two to three. The solution is really just spam command ships and vipers. But he'll need quite alot to overwhelm both Keto and Thor. Getting techs before Keto arrived or before war with Thor broke out. Would have been the time to develop techs. Now is too late. Granted, even if he put a sugar seed on one of his Islands. He would still need an underwater base, which he could try. But likely would get destroyed. It wouldn't be something he has the defense fleet to maintain. He needs more ships. That's really all there is to it. And Im not sure he could get to a place with a sugar seed and back without being destroyed. So there is that.
Ah yes, the best part of these runs, the pain lmao I think increasing the bulwark of turrets on pretty much all of your used coasts should be a major priority, along with parking your fleet in the middle of your trade-route. Just keep the income flowing and ships building, and eventually you'll have the momentum to move Right now, we're developing, not losing. In a battle of attrition we have all we need right here. Push up the tech tree as hard and fast as you can to get to tech, underwater bases & airships might be the savior you need right now. Plus just more income is always great, helps the warfleet grow. Don't give up! You've got this!
This game brings back so many memories! I wanted to play it years ago, but my PC couldn't handle it. Seeing it played now makes me so happy. Best of luck!
Resources, probably. Putting down less than 4 will get them destroyed rather quick and be a waste. But I agree, more defenses are probably the way to go. Though I don't think defenses are that strong sadly.
This game looks stressful! A far sight different than 1800 where there's a bit of ship combat but they at least piss off and let you build for a while 😅
im going to repeat this comment until u see it niv DO NOT DESTROY ENEMYS SHIPS 1 leave them at 10/20% left 2 destroy only pirates ship and loot them, theres a chance of getting the item to capture enemy ship 3 capture with that item the ship that u left damage from keto, wich are better than ur own ship 4 also dont forget to loot items from the keto ship, u can sell those to trenchcoat or bartok, and buy upgrades for ur own ships 5 edit, i forgot u can also Buy the tech faction, Even if u don't build a tech city, u can at least Buy a sub from Ur ark, wich has a emp that u can use against the mass of keto ships
