Hip hop is back no dividing like they want peace god to the gods thanks for the knowledge never let them divide with they poison keep the 5 elements alive graffiti back hiphop back
That’s the issue right there. Ya’ll go with the father’s race (Europe), and we go with the mother’s race (Africa). To me, Ricans and American Blacks are the same people. But the ideology can be different. For example, how did a Rican become a Latin? Real Latins are European.
@@dnyce8224 we a mix of everything that’s why you got Ricans like me who look . White you got some that’s black and . Couldn’t tell shit some look Asian . But in the hood it’s the same shit idk bout others states but east coast black and Puerto Ricans growing up in the exact same way . Same hoods, schools, buildings , courtyards. Hip hop it for people like that who can feel what they talking about
@@EddieBlanco585 . I agree 100%. But I’ll add that the USA and all other countries in the so called ‘ New World’ were made up of people from the same mixture: European, African, and Native.
@@EddieBlanco585….I agree 100%. To add, the USA was also mixed. To start, there were White, African, and Native people who mixed just like everywhere else in the so called ‘New World ‘. Most Black Americans and Black Rican are mixed. A Rican calling himself Latin is like a Black American bragging about being Anglo. That’s more so European culture.
@@EddieBlanco585 ….Bro, I definitely do not mean that disrespectfully. If you and I moved to Cuba and raised kids there, Our kids would be contributing to Cuban culture, but probably adding a NYC twist. Even if they invented a new genre of Cuban music. It would still be %100 Cuban.
Big up to AGALLAH...I represent JAMAICA...set it str8......Like KRS said...blk america/Jamaica/Puerto Rico made HIP-HOP...BIG JOE KRASH...teaching as usual.
That’s a lie. What element of Hip Hop came from Jamaica or Puerto Rico? Ya’ll participated in it early on with the American Blacks in America. It’s your culture too, but ya’ll didn’t create it. This isn’t the first lie KRS1 told. Plus, he wasn’t there, so what’s his source to back up what he’s saying. Fat Joe is saying 50/50 and Chris is saying 33.33/33.33/33.33. They pulling numbers out their rear. Why come to another country and take credit for the culture created based on the people’s struggle and experience in that country? It’s very disrespectful. Let’s talk about how Black Americans should get credit for Reggae. Or, we can just allow the Jamaicans to have that because Reggae is Jamaican culture even if Black American music inspired it. I know there’s nothing new under the sun with African music.
@@bangswift My guy I don't use terms or labels like "Latino" or Hispanic bcuz it simply means "property of Spain".. Puerto Ricans are unique unto themselves. A black person doesn't claim to belong to reggae just bcuz we're all black. It's "Jamaica" culture. Not AA. So no one is buying the false "Latino" blanket. Puerto Ricans will eventually speak out on this. A Mexican in Cali has nothing to do with the Puerto Rican in New York City. A Cuban in Florida that has nothing to do with a Puerto Rican in New York City. Etc etc Y'all gotta stop minimizing what the Puerto Ricans contributed to Hip Hop. I'm noticing a lot of Mexicans trying to use that Latino label to disguise themselves amongst the creators. It's simply a black and Puerto Rican culture out of New York City.
Hip Hop is a culture and state of mind... Whether you're Caucasian, Afro American, Mexican, Puerto Rican, Jamaican, Asian or any other decent... If you truly love, appreciate and live Hip Hop that's all that matters.
Black people created the hiphop culture, just like this did rock n roll, blues,r&b,motown, memphis, philly, disco, jazz, and the list goes on....I don't care what you are, where your from but you would rather spew rhetoric than say HIPHOP IS BLACK CULTURE.It's been going on way before hiphop, back in the 60's and 70's black had everyone wearing bell bottoms, afro's and playing and dancing to our music but that isn't black Culture cause you were there looking like us.James Brown was a black man and said he was black and proud, you listened to him and he's been used more in hiphop than anyone else in the history of it,a black man but HIP HOP ISN'T BLACK.It's ours,it's BLACK and if you have a problem with saying it than you have a problem within that goes deeper than this.....say it,say "HIPHOP IS BLACK CULTURE" it's not going to hurt you physically but mentally it will bruise that ego and maybe cure you of all the resentment you've been carrying around about blacks and for blacks cause everyone knows we reak of talent.
i only know this culture from me cause it was in me from start i am 50 years old. i have done so much for black artists who never gave back and thats ok. the universe is the most powerful thing to me i love everyone im a peaceful brother i been thru alot and jamar knows me from a different situ i dont wanna disclose but i always felt less than what my black brothers expected from me and im over it cause we been family im a motherless child
Agallah Puerto Ricans are being disrespected and disowned from the hip hop culture in extremely harsh ways. Could you start a gathering of hip hop veterans for a much needed debate.
@@irwintorres6218….Ricans aren’t being disrespected or disowned from Hip Hop. Ricans were definitely there and contributed to the growth of Hip Hop. But Ricans didn’t create it 50/50. And it was created under Black American culture even if Ricans participated. For example, if I move to PR and put bbq chicken in a pastelle, I’m not gonna act like I Black Americans created the pastelle 50/50 with the Tiano Indians. Adding to something and being apart of it is way different than creating it.
Peace Lord good song nobody is disputing contribution and participation but there's a big difference when we're talking about creation various groups help Advance the culture that's not to be disputed

BIGUP to all our Rican brothers and sisters! Nobody said Ricans didn’t contribute but you have to acknowledge the Gods! Hip Hop is something Black people wake up to daily and also our Hispanic brothers and sisters! AG I believe the conversation is simpler than they are making the topic to be! We need this convo though because at the end of the day it’s about Unity and embracing differences diversity and truth. Did Ricans contribute 50/50 naw because My Grandparents, Aunts Uncles, Etc rocked to the breaks before the 70s! Our Rican brothers are missing the point that this is what we are taught in the “ Black Home” knowledge born.. “ The Breaks” is something you can’t turn off for Black Americans because it’s been our culture since the fields of Georgia! I feel FBA has the right to defend the truth.
Yo good job agallah ! This is right on time ! I loved how you ended the video with krs 1 saying the 3 groups created hiphop together....lord jamar is in his feelings for that ever reason....he took what krs one said out of context and made it look opposite to what he actually said.
Uncle Agallah, from Belgium 🇧🇪 shout out! I soon as I put my feet on your continent for the first time, i hope quite soon, i ll try to see you, an honour 🙏
Stumbled across this, this is heat fam...much love from a black/afro American to my black/afro PuertoRicans. Fuxk the division we one people indigenous to the whole Americas

I have complex thoughts about this whole debate, so while I'm all for Puerto Ricans accepting and showing pride in their blackness, I'm not saying i agree with Agallah. That being said, this is why Agallah has been in my top 3 Puerto Rock MCs and his beats are 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
@danieladdison2481 yall are not like us. That's why yall have to colonize our culture. You cosplay everything about black Americans. You will never be as good as us because we are the culture
