Done at any event I le mea ua potopoto ai Samoa. Only if faaaloalogas have been given like suas. Anyone can do the folafolasua but it’ll be ideal for a person from the family receiving the faaaloalo to folafola their sua to praise the giving family😊
when you sit down and folafola you are telling the person who's receiving the sua what they are receiving.... this part of the Sua is done outside to announce to the public what the Sua included... its done by a person on the receiving side of the Sua in this case the Ta'ita'i (Faliu ane se silafaga maualuga lau susuga a le Ta'ita'i) this aganu'u is how we show appreciation for the Sua being given by announcing it outside... it shows respect and gratitude for the Sua like a big dispaly to say thank you... as opposed to the folafola inside which is a presentation from the giving side...
Hello fellow brethren. You guys are just a bit off. This is more precisely "Folafola Fa'aaloaloga" because it does not only consist of addressing the sua but the proper addressing of the chiefs, families, and dignitaries. Folafola sua is only for a regular meal or feast. It is always done inside and its pretty particular to just "folafola sua" (presenting the food) with a lite bit of respects in the beginning. Folafola faaaloaloga is done for an actual event eg. Si'i, Maliu, Saofa'i etc. and is done when the chiefs are approaching the end of their oratories. It is also a thank you to the incoming party.
Funny you say "...male le loto maualalo" after saying a lot of things you should've assumed I already know. Our disagreement is clear. You say it's a "Folafola Sua" and I say it's a "Folofola fa'aaloaloga". It's funny because you seem to make an argument for my case. You say that the person doing it is a taule'ale'a from the visiting party. Well we agree on that. That's why it's a "folafola fa'aaloaloga" because it's at the end and they acknowledge and show gratitude for the keu. And I want to correct you bruv, "amoamosa" does not equate to "fa'avevela". "Amoaamosa" should only be used for kings i.e. a Papa or Kama 'Aiga titles.. Fa'avevela is a kaisi. Amoaamosa is kaisi and kaailepaepae or it can be a magufaka. It's called amoamosa because it's carried up and not ka'i lalo. But the term is only used if it's Fa'akupu. It's called Amoamosa only if it's for a king. Last I checked, Ma'ilo is not a kupu or kama-aiga. You also forgot to mention Faletolu and Fuaifale probably pertains to Faleasi'u.
