The lighting and framing throughout this film is beautiful

This as a full film would have been glued to the TV till the end

This was really great, was half expecting the usual ending to a Lesbian short with the father disowning her and Jack guy to do serious damage or even kill Jaime Lee. But nope the father (played by the great John Connors, if you haven't seen it check out Cardboard Gangsters, he's fantastic in it) just wants her to be happy. Also Joshua Donoghue as Jack was great, he also wrote it. Some really nice framing especially when Jack confronts Margaret in the van. I like when it comes to Margaret and Jaime Lee relationship, it's only hinted at and you ain't quite sure if it's just Jack being paranoid. If anyone is interested there is a great Spanish film that a won few awards in Spain called Carmen and Lola . After the lives of two Traveller women collide in the suburbs of Madrid, they are forced to make a difficult choice between love and continued acceptance from their community. Basically it has the same kind of plot as this Agape in one of them is to Marry another guy but she falls in love with another girl in her community. Interesting film as it goes into depth about how arrange marriages are done and how deep reilgion goes in Travelling community. Both actresses are fantastic in it. And like Margaret one of the other girls wants to be a teacher.

This should have been made into a full movie

I always have said these films are the irish masterpiece and that is pure irish approval from brendan dowd and shirley brilliantly done

Wait, why exactly was Margaret forced to marry Jack? He doesn't seem to have vast riches, although that wouldn't have made it any better. It's a shame Jack turned out the way he did due to his father. Thank goodness there are men around to talk some sense into him.

I feel sorry for everyone living in those trailers

I noticed the film is called agape as in the greek word used to express God's love. But God made male and female. When christians call homosexuality wrong they say it to warn the people. I know there are self proclaimed followers of christ who hate gay's and hope for bad things to come to them. But you hate the sin not the sinner.
