The writers of endgame were overruled by the director who has final say (Feigie has final final say I would imagine). Cap lived in a different timeline he was NOT hiding in the MCU in the background.
Just an added note. I don't know if someone already said this, but, when I saw the Salem Seven walking backwards, I remembered a Halloween superstition, where, if you wear your clothes inside out and walked backwards, you'll spot a witch. I think that's pretty neat.
Joe Locke wasn’t lying when he said that ep. 7 was the best episode. Makes me feel a little bit nervous about the finale but at least I’ll take comfort I’ll enjoy it more than Secret Invasion
I also think it is used to continue the Wizard of Oz parallel because they all were following a yellow path and yellow roots but are now reaching their proverbial Emerald city hence the green roots
If so though, wouldn’t he have full control over and be cognizant of it? Like he would know how to complete all the trials. Unless it’s a subconscious manifestation
This episode reminded me of the Watchmen episode A God Walks Into A Bar when we see things from Dr. Manhattan's perspective and how him experiencing all of his existence at once changes his interaction and understanding of time
In episode 2, the witches road did not appear to them after the song. Teenager was up stairs being harassed by the Salem 7. Then a hexagonal cellar door appears under Agatha. It glows blue like Teenager's magic. Magic he uses in states of heighten emotion. food for thought
Actually that tree in the Wizard of Oz is pulling off his own unborn children and throwing them at Dorothy, if his fruit serve the same purpose as regular tree fruit. But then, it's sweet because the trees benefit from animals eating the fruit and spreading the seeds in their poop. So maybe just trees are messed up in general.
40:13 It is also worth mentioning that Time In A Bottle was released two months after Jim Croce passed in a plane crash, which I feel is particularly pertinent to this episode's themes.
I love the “Unstuck Mind” concept! I wrote a short story in high school about a US government department dealing with time travel (this is years before the TVA came to the MCU but a similar aesthetic) and one of the characters suffered from “Temporal Dysplasia”, a result of travelling through time too much and therefore his mind had become temporally entangled, pulling him forward and back through time mentally (but staying in the present physically).
My last name is Ajer and is pronounced like ager and I was a kid I literally thought teens were called teen and then what their last name was so people were saying I was going to be a teen-Ajer. This joke made my childhood so happy 😂😂😂
Anyone notice when Lilia is young talking the sky looks like the inside of the soul stone. Very similar concept if youve played any persona game where tarot is played in the heart of your soul
Almost exactly 12 minutes into the episode (and also seen a bit before that) there is a sword that is literary Hofund, the bifrost sword used by heimdall, just smaller. (At exactly 12 minutes in, it is directly in the middle of the screen, and a couple seconds before that it can be seen in the right side of the screen)
The 10 of Swords being the “destination” card of Agatha’s condescending spread is actually great though, a body riddled with swords that fell on it from above….
What if the blurry figure was jen in the tunnels? I also found it really interesting that lilia has a good witch outfit but all the rest have bad ones. Also, I wonder if there were any swords in the middle as that seemed to be where lilia would land (not counting that it's a heck of a fall)
5:00 Even if wanda ends up being his mother, rebecca is his mom. Shes the one thats been raising him for almost all his life. A lil wordplay to leave the possibility open for both
Also, the writers of Endgame are wrong. Steve did not live in the background of the "main" timeline. The Russo Brothers have confirmed he went to another timeline. I will die on this hill.
Also the Russo Brothers and the writers don't really control the overall narrative of the entire MCU. They can say whatever they want as their intentions are for this film and this film alone. The Russo's have gone on record saying, they set things up, and closed some doors, but they could never understand where it would go. It's not up to them. We have to view everything post endgame to better understand the time travel rules and the truth is, it goes both ways depending on the story they want to tell.
Definitely went to another timeline and just came back to 616 to deliver the shield and hammer. You could see Peggy Carter at the TVA in Loki probably getting pruned for violating it with him 😂
It feels like everything up to Billy saying "I wish Lilia was here" was just a bit of preamble to get out of the way before the real episode. and yet i loved all that too!!!! Amazing episode.
Agatha been to the real witches road. That witches' road version they came in was Billy's Hex, that's why Agatha was so confused and scared but then later realized it's Billy's hex road.
not sure if it was overlooked, but the framing of billy/agatha walking up to the castle is the same framing that we got from lokis1ep5 when they found the citadel. from the front and the back
Lovely work again I’ve been a fan for years and i still feel the same joy and intrigue from my first video till now thank you for that for real and long may it continue
Emergency Awesome suggested the train station might suggest the road is a hex like reality warp manifestation from Billy, and I’m all in on this theory! The whole road is to a degree to Billy what the hex was to Wanda.
I really like how all of these separate nerd channels come away with different bits that they notice and theorize. I am all for the Wiccan Hex theory myself.
am i the only one seeing letters on those golden roots? i haven't made the effort to keep track tho, coz i'm waiting for other theorists may notice and just interpret them for me 😂
I actually think that Billy may have manifested this version of “The Road” 7:45 It’s not actually the witches road, but a hex of his own making that he is unaware of. 11:35 is more evidence
Remember that one of the released images showed him drawing the portal and then an overhead shot of him appearing to bring it to life… blue glow from his hands and the portal itself glowing blue through the wooden floor slats.
Since viewers saw the items in Billy's room that also appeared in the trials, this theory has become popular with some of us. :) Given that Billy of the comics is known to be able to warp reality in much the same way as his spiritual mother the Scarlet Witch, I think it's a fairly plausible theory.
LFG!!!!!! I AM SO DAMN READY FOR THE FINALE before Halloween next week, what a time to be alive. LETS GET IT. Jac Schaeffer NEEDS to direct a future movie
