Listening with my headphones. Was placing my chopped veggies in my stew when the loud music came on. Chopped veggies flew everywhere. Scared me to death. Luckily they all landed on the stove. Soup turned out yummy.
#241 LIKE!💋 12:09PM South Texas 01/24/23 I absolutely love the way you do your channel! It pleases my ADHD mind! The ever changing burning looping candle wicks 3 wicks 2 wicks 3 wicks and foregoing punctuation of the chapter headings for Daniel & Natasha & multiverses A Quantum History, it’s all together quizzical & soothing! Captivating & relaxing at the same time! Thank you!
I was halfway through book 29 the witches tree when we lost them all I’d been lucky enough to read in published order We can only hope that all get restored- in the meantime I’m enjoying another listen of the ones posted!
I know when ppl upload copyrighted videos & audiobooks they will break it up with annoying music to keep from getting in trouble. But the timing with that jarring music doesn't make any sense!
@cawiltu, at the dinner scene there is absolutely no reason to blast the loud music. I understand when ppl upload copyrighted material and the frame is smaller vs screen, the audio is paused while music plays randomly, etc... But there is absolutely no rhyme or reason for that jarring music. If it made sense I would agree with you but to put that in and cover up the dinner scene when only 30 mins of the story left??? 😱
Her name is Donada Peters, an award-winning actress, who has narrated more than 500 titles since the 1980s, and is an acclaimed “Golden Voice” of audiobook recording. A transplanted Brit, she lives in California and, when not behind the microphone, works on stage, film, and TV. ~Google
@@su-yi and "California" is the operative word. Her accent really grates and she gives herself away frequently by pronouncing words in the US style. And the Irish is beyond dreadful.
PikieP got by with it longer than any other poster, but they have been erased due to copyright. There’s one of the radio version where they combine several stories that still has Penelope narrating, unless that’s been knocked down in the last couple of days too By the way, the writer that helped Mrs. Beaton finish up the series has taken her notes and there is a new book out for 2022.
When I read everyone's comments about not finding the audio books I wondered if a new one coming out or remarketing the series with updated covers or of the like. One of my favorite pilates vids was suddenly taken down and I learned the instructor passed and they were remarketing the series.
Where can I listen to Dead Ringer read by Penelope Keith or this lady for free. I found the first few chapters but not the full book. Grateful for any help as even my library Bolinda doesn't have it. Thanks
I understand that the music interlude is because the poster is trying to confuse the people checking on copyrighted material and I can live with that but when the book continues while the music is playing and we end up missing some of the book, it REALLY annoys me. Do better.
@@knowjusticeknowpeace15 Because I am computer illiterate. Also I am not being paid to do it. What I do is not listen to this person's channel any more. Apparently at least 23 people agree with me since I got that many thumbs up votes. Let's see how many up votes you get.
Hello readers, we will be back to release the recordings, do you have any request for a book by M.C. Beaton for us? Please subscribe to my channel: www.youtube.com/@mcbeatonbookstore8606
NO! Not from your channel! WHY THE HELL IS THERE LOUD MUSIC PLAYING AT THE 3:40 min MARK??? And also towards the end!!! Can't hear ANY dialogue there!! STUPID! Plus, you repeat episodes, and out of order! Crap job you're doing! Thumbs down from me & unsubscribed! Not using your channel again for my favourite AR stories!
This is copyrighted so the music is to throw off the algorithm and keep it from getting pulled. I slept thru it until the blast during the dinner. I about jumped out of bed! 🤣
I must have miraculously slept thru that one! It's copyrighted material, if the uploaded was reading it themselves there would be no need to interrupt with music. It's to keep it from being removed.
This reader is better than Penelope. Penelope gets too involved and begins to act out the parts and while some speech modulation is desireable, too much can get in the way. If the text reads "If only I'd visited Mum more before she died" said Joan" You don't want the reader to break down and sob into the microphone.
