What's the sweet spot of cauldrons in yawg? I've seen xerk running 3. Do you think cauldron is a legit strategy moving forward or more a flash in the pan? Honestly i think xerk could play any form of yawg and easily top 8, he's just that good lol
Another combo involves having metallic mimic in play naming insect with a counter on it from putting Grist under the cauldron. Create a massive army of 2/2 bugs.
How corner case are Blood Artist’s upsides?? Maybe I haven’t gotten enough reps in for them to pop up yet, but I have definitely gotten got by my opponent untapping with a ring and using it to get interaction when I was playing BA
@@corbindelgado9110you can play around interaction if need be. Blood Artist’s upside is not corner case at all, whereas zulaport’s upside is fairly niche. You also can Grist ultimate through ring protection, which often is enough to do the job as well.
Keep in mind that now that we are playing Pendelhaven for Bowmasters, the fact that we can Pendelhaven Cutthroat but not Artist is another point in Cutthroat's favor.

Bright Palm is the new commander from MoM precons. Basically the backup mechanic and spreading +1/+1 counters to all your creatures and doubling them. Perfect for the deck@@Control4Daze
Not sure artifact hate is the way to go…graveyard hate is a more effective strategy, IMO. It can be a grindy card but can also provide extra combo potential, which is nice. The biggest question to me is “how many” at this point.

I got you! Your creature with a +1/+1 counter gains Grist’s loyalty abilities. 1. +1 the undying creature, make an insect, mill a card 2. Remove the +1/+1 counter from the undying creature, using Walking Ballista’s ‘ping’ ability 3. Target the undying creature, that just removed it’s counter 4. Undying creature dies, undying triggers, the creatures will return to the battlefield with a +1/+1 counter 5. Repeat steps 1-4
Additionally, because I know some people find this confusing, this works because of Grist’s static ability meaning that as long as he’s not on the battlefield, he counts as a creature!
Can wrap my head around it but can you make this work with bombardment + undying creatures + fume spitter? Or with carrion feeder (alternative Thran Vigil) + putrid goblin + bombardment?
When you say bombardment, you mean goblin bombardment? Assuming that’s what you’re describing, it wouldn’t work bc both the activation of the creatures and bombardment require you to sacrifice a creature.
So its dependent on walking ballista then i guess and with undying creatures. Like walking ballista with Geralfs messenger. Goblin bombardment only works with putrid goblin and thran vigil then 🤔 as a exampel
Does the Soul Cauldron function like Dauthi Voidwalker, in that if it gets destroyed that you can just summon a new one but keep the exiled cards? Or do you need to start over?

I believe he refers to Ob nixilis, Captive Kingpin, with his triggered ability he fuels again every counter he spends for the ballista ability and keeps doing it
Another combo is exile Emry put counter on Rona. Infinite mana and draw with double mox and double one ring Or double mox and a urza exiled is infinite cast
@@Control4Daze The ring sells packs like crazy for wizards and they're not keen to see that stop anytime soon. I think we're stuck with the ring and bowmasters for the foreseeable future.
@@forcemarine I would imagine the sales start to peter out after a while, at which point it will be banned. I think the combination of the ring and beanstalk are too much for the format…wouldn’t mind if beanstalk got the axe, so tron remained a powerful strategy.
