I love love agave. It has made my hair healthy and frizz free. But the way you applied it and blow dried and flat ironed your hair was not correct at all. Plus it depends on the amount of strokes from the flat Iron and the heat level . My mother in law is a beautician and I have seen nothing but happy customers and beautiful results. I did my studies and research on Agave and it is a great and safe product to use. I love it. FYI if you had or have bleached hair it will lighten it about 2 levels more.
Hi Dear! Just for to let you know! The 20 minutes processing time it is for the time you should leave it on the hair after applying it, then continue with next steps: blow drying and flat iron it!). But yes, my concern it is that it is only for Hairstylist and it is fir sell to others. It is only for Professional because of things like these would happen. But I enjoy your review. Keep it up! 😀👋
Okay so here I am 6 years late lol But just tried the product and watched this video prior and I was nervous but I already bought so I did it. I thought I’d share my thoughts as a professional stylist for any people just seeing this video now!❤ Personally it worked very well for me! I’ve done it all Brazilian Blowout, Coppola Keratin, relaxers, Japanese thermal etc etc for years as a stylist and on myself…but I wanted something not so toxic as we know those other products are horrible for our health recently…here are my thoughts: 1. I agree that the bottle in this package is not enough for a full treatment…I didn’t over saturate and only applied to roots and mid shaft and combed through the ends to save product and still ran out with about 1/4 of my nape left 😑 It’s more of a lotion solution vs. a liquid like the others so you need more of it period. My hair is about 2 inches below the collarbone, I needed two bottles for sure 2. The smell wasn’t terrible to me, they all smell bad. This one is not as potent and “chemically” but does have a hint of a perfumey old flowers + keratin smell, wasn’t that bad to me 3. The key that I think many at home users miss is you MUST spend the majority of your time on the blow dry part. The hair must be fully dried to a crisp and a paddle brush should be used with lots of tension and direct heat (you’ll get lots of steam from the product burning off). Your hair should be almost stiff and hot to the touch. That’s when you know you can move on to the flat iron. I spent more time blow drying than I did flat ironing probably a solid 45 minutes 4. Wash your twice after you’re done. I used their shampoo, then my own sulfate free shampoo, then their conditioner. We’ll see how long it lasts, like a keratin treatment the more you do them the longer they last and better your results. But my hair is much smoother, much softer and no frizz. Hope this helps! Everyone’s hair is different but maybe it will work better for some with these tips 😊
Thank you so much, what clarifying shampoo did you use? I’d honestly love to see a video on how you applied the product and executed the whole process.
Hi, I'm Christine. I have very fine, thin flat hair, except for some random lumpy waves and inconsistent kinks. As soon as I finish blowdrying, my neck perspires and it looks awful. This Agave treatment was a God-send for me...it even lasted until the wavy parts grew out again, so I got away with 2 treatments a year. I'm one of those people it worked great for!
this is the reason salon price ....they do better blower ,better brush....better flat iron.....they have sufficient material to work....all of this cost ....
She has a beautiful hair, but The reason why the product didn’t worked for her, it was because she over saturated the hair with product, and it doesn’t allow the strands to absorb correctly. I’ve used agave smoothing treatment a couple of times on my wild hair and I love the results.
When they say processing time, they say jt based on a professional setting and once you apply product and take it off, not the whole process. A professional knows this when they read the box. & we also know we need clarifying shampoo. All professional products have directions, counting on the fact that professionals have background knowledge. Thanks for your review though, its very helpful to know if this is a good fit for my own & clients ethnic hair.
the clarifying shampoo iS the tiny shampoo included. you're supposed to leave it in the hair for couple minutes before beigining... so their IS clarifying shampoo...and they say 20 min processing time cause its usually45minutes.
i absolutely love Agave Smoothing Treatment because im a cosmetologist and making many many clients happy with it. i think its difficult to do it by yourself. you have to do flat ironing thoroughly at the perfect temperature. by the way there is a new and better improved system call express.
You would’ve had better results if you had a professional do it. You get what you pay for and if you didn’t pay for a professional to do it that’s the result you get. Then you bought an agave treatment from Amazon? You probably purchased something that was expired, Amazon is not place were professionals order their hair products. This treatment works really good!
Oh Havin your always so beautiful, gorgeous and in that Max Azria silk top very attractive. Good things come to those whom wait, and indeed this video is great and worth the wait :) Also your hair is gorgeous even if the treatment didnt work. Lastly if you didn't colour or treat your hair would it go gray? or are you colouring your hair for other reasons?
Well thank you and thank you for waiting! :)) I wish I didn't have to color my hair. :( I have A LOT of gray. When I say, A LOT, I really mean A LOT!! LOL
Well when your such a breath taking beautiful woman like you, holding your breath to wait is worth it. ;) As for the gray, you can still look just as gorgeous and attractive with gray like you are now. Plus you can let it go and go gray like these beautiful actresses, Annette O'toole, Jamie Lee Curtis, and Judi Dench. :)
There's a product called Pure Brazilian that has keratin and if that will make your hair bone straight I know this for a fact because I had it done to my hair 3 times. I had it done 3 times in a year and I ended up not liking it because it made my hair so straight I wanted something that would cut the frizz but still allow me body and wave and curl to my hair I haven't found that product yet but yes there is a product called Pure Brazilian with keratin that will make your hair bone straight.. I'm also a licensed hair stylist.
What is the other product you use? Infracto Revolution Treatment, I couldn't hear what you said. I have super thick curly hair and need all the help I can get lol
Hi Angie! It's called Inverto Revolution Treatment linked under the video (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-l431JCu7r4o.html). Click on "Show More" and you'll see additional video links including discount code.
Of course girl friend very helpful and well done 👌. Your hair looks beautiful, by the way still waiting for the shoes look book, or the shoes fashion shows, I'm just sayin'. lol
Thank you Nilsa! I know I know! Shoe video! :) It's definitely on the list of many videos to film. I'm trying to catch up, but between traveling and the holidays it's been hard.
As a licensed cosmetologist there is a reason why this is NOT AVAILABLE TO THE PUBLIC, 1 WE are trained to use and apply this product correctly, 2 there is no professional clarifying shampoo for $1. I'm sorry but I have done this process CORRECTLY on many clients with no issues. Sorry I have to tell you that you need the process to be done by someone who knows how to use the product and do the service correct. And lastly all the hair products that are sold on amazon or eBay are 100% black market items, you don't know if that is the actual product unless it's sold by an authorized supplier. Some products can be 5-10 years old or exposed to extreme heat or cold and that will affect the product, sometimes they are printed labels over a product from another country. I understand you think you did your research but I'm sorry your results were because you did not apply and process it correct. Good luck with your testing and reviewing but if you want to learn how to do this CORRECTLY please spend the $30,000 it costs to atttend cosmetology school and get your license and then you will understand. Have a great day
Hello Nancy, Bravo for spending $30,000 on cosmetology school and no disrespect to you or other licensed cosmetologists out there, but some professionals can’t do what I can do. I’m self-taught and will never stop learning. During the last 25+ years, I’ve been coloring my own hair (henna, semi-perm., demi-perm. and perm. using professional and boxed dyes). I’ve had different shades of black, reds, browns, etc. I’ve removed hair dyes using various types of color removers. I even cut my hair once in a while. I color and cut some of my friend’s hair. I could go on and on… Could I afford to go a “professional”? Absolutely! I choose not to because I LOVE doing everything on my own and although I may not be a licensed cosmetologist (I am; however, a licensed nail technician - - doesn’t apply in this case). I love doing my own hair, nails, chemical peels, derma rolling and the list goes on… I mentioned in the video my sister had the same treatment done at the salon. What I didn’t mention is that she loved how her hair looked and felt. I later learned (after I recorded and uploaded this video) she hated the treatment after 2 ½ - 3 weeks. Her hair reverted back to the way it was. Oh and she spent a whopping $425!!! We have similar hair type and texture (between type 2b and type 3b). I would not have done this treatment had I known she hated it. This kit was not tampered with or damaged and had original packaging and seal - - nothing looked out of ordinary. Did I get an expired kit or was it exposed to extreme heat or cold? I don’t know - maybe. It was a chance I took. Currently, this kit (and full size treatment bottle) is being sold on ebay and if you read the reviews, most loved it and some didn’t. I didn’t love it. As of today, this kit can also be purchased on edcskincare.com and jet.com (could be fake/could be tampered with??). Over the years, I’ve purchased many keratin treatments (mostly professional in-salon use only) in beauty supply stores on Amazon, eBay and have had no problems. So this is not the first time I’ve done a keratin treatment nor will it be the last time. Sometimes I test and review products that either work or don’t work for ME. I address it in my video “what works for me, may not work for you and vice versa”. Most of my viewers can’t afford to get keratin treatments done by a professional which is one reason why I love sharing what I know. I followed directions to a T. Only difference between this and other treatments I’ve done is processing time (20 min) - - others 30 min - 1 hr. You say I “did not apply and process it correct.” What did I do wrong? I’d love to know. Have a fabulous day! ☺
I definitely do not mean any disrespect but I COMPLETELY understand why u think this way now, all u had to say was u are a nail tech... But still not a licensed cosmologist. I am also liscensed to do nails, but I feels i did not learn enough about it to specialize or offer it as a service. I am also learning everyday and that's part of the job but I know what I've learned and continued to learn and that was my honest opinion. Have a great day and best wishes with everything
