Agco Unicorns! An Allis Chalmers 8095 and Gleaner R50 @daehlerfarms The video you are about to see is debuting a rare unicorn of a tractor that allis chalmers had been experimenting with during the 80's. You may recognize a good portion of the tractor looks like the 8000 series (8010,8030, 8050, 8070) 4 of these prototype tractors were made but unfortunately never produced under the allis chalmers brand but you could say they were produced as a duetz air cooled tractor that has the same wheel base...

We are such a disposable society. It's wonderful to see these work horses being preserved AND used! Hope you and your family have a Blessed Christmas.

I agree, most everyone wants new and out with the old. It was pretty cool see them and I can't wait till spring time to help to get to see the 8095 working some ground. Hope you all have a merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

My 1981 L2 was available with a power fold ladder. I also had an R50 and they weren't all that uncommon but the experimental one certainly is. I also saw an all green painted R50 at the dealership in New Hampton Iowa a few years ago. That one is rare. The R7 replaced the N7 and were the largest capacity combines in the world in their day as far as I know.

Sounds like you really know your gleaners! Thank you for the information and hope you enjoyed the video. We are a big Allis Chalmers fan and the only tractors we use on our farm

They were very high capacity combines for there day, but I'm pretty sure the 8820 was bigger. I do know the N7 was the first supposedly 12 row capable combine
@SilverGleaner
@SilverGleaner Год назад
@@aidencrawford3487 An N7 was quite a bit larger capacity than an 8820. 8820 was closer to an N5. When dad rented out the farm for awhile the renter had an 8820 then switched to a 2188 or 2388. The 8820 was more reliable than the CaseIH but the Case was way easier to work on. BTW the N6 came out a year earlier than the N7 and was actually the first 12 row ready combine in the world. The N7 had 270 hp and a 315 bushel bin. The N6 at first was 220 hp and 220 bushels later 245 bushels.

@@daehlerfarms could you run a 25 ft bean head and a 6 row corn head on a r7? I've been looking at the r7 but don't know anything about them.
@daehlerfarms
@daehlerfarms Год назад
@familyfarmer TN Handles a 6 row great but a 25 ft flex in good beans is a load at times. Plus you need to have fairly flat land since it doesn't have lateral tilt. You can go to a newer series combine for what a R7 is plus motor parts for the 7s are getting somewhat scarce but still gettable.
@familyfarmertn8931
@familyfarmertn8931 Год назад
@@daehlerfarms thanks. Maybe I should look for a newer one. A r50 might be better but I'm not sure about the air cooled engine. With the age and not knowing how it has been taken care of. Thanks for the info
