The strat I use at the start of the game is much more consistent, and since I'm at a live marathon and need to get it right the first time, I do the safer stuff.

​@@kzfrew Oh my God! I only now got it, so later in the run, where you do get warped, you don't actually replay that replay, it just warps you because you went into the save a while back(in the replay) but you weren't actually in the area back then. Thank you so much! Finally got it!

GDQ hasn't done anything. In fact, you probably owe the entire speedrunning community to GDQ, because pre-GDQ it was a very niche thing with not a lot of public awareness. It is no coincidence that GDQ and speedrunning blew up in growth simultaneously. GDQ is the best speedrunning marathon, objectively. It is the largest, most renowned, and raises the most money. As a result, this attracts the most speedrunning talent. GDQ speedrun showcases are, objectively, more skillful and impressive than any other speedrun marathon, so you can't say they "sold out" and "it's about the money" when the show, by and large, is the best speedrunning showcase out there. And yes, fundraising events need money to exist. GDQ needs a business model to do what they do. It wouldn't be possible otherwise. So I have no idea what you mean when you say you can't stand them after "what they did" -- no, GDQ has never banned anyone for swearing. GDQ banned BubblesDelFuego for supplying illegal drugs to another attendee of the event, causing a public stir, and forcing their hand. GDQ did not ban Bonesaw, he was never banned, just told that his runs wouldn't be accepted for a year. He continues to dodge the question about what happened, so we'll never really know. GDQ banned RWhiteGoose for being a literal piece of shit -- a detail that Apollo Legend conveniently left out of his video, which is no surprise because Apollo Legend is a hack that spreads misinformation for his benefit. GDQ by law must be apolitical, hence not allowing the MAGA hat on stream. No, GDQ never sees any of the donations themselves, you donate directly to the charity's PayPal. Unsurprisingly, GDQ works exactly the same way any other fundraiser event works. Oh, and let's not forget raising nearly $20 million for charity, which has clear and obvious benefits: PCF's budget is a paltry $12M AGDQ included, so the extra $2M+ per year makes up over 15% of their annual income. This extra money has allowed PCF to expand their outreach globally (a criticism of the organization beforehand), supporting five new international cancer prevention and early detection grants in Ghana, Mexico, Nigeria, Poland and South Africa, beginning this month. Not to mention research and community grants which would not be possible without AGDQ funding. Does some money go back to AGDQ? Yes, just like any other fundraising event that a charity sponsors or organizes. That's how the world works. So, with all of this considered, GDQ is not only giving the speedrunning community a reason to meetup and celebrate twice a year, they also provide an outlet for runners to spread their passion and joy with the world all in the name of an altruistic cause that is saving lives. That's incredible, and you are an absolute stick in the mud for suggesting anything short of that.

Laughing at your own jokes, while also explaining step by step everything youre doing. Its a video game, people can see what youre doing, it doesnt need to be narrated and the only people who would care to watch this know/have seen the game, so youre literally rambling about stupid shit cuz youre not interesting at all.
