Oh. My. Fucking. Goodness. THIS WAS SPECTACULAR!!! You truly are a master in your craft (also the tiny scarabs are so cute :3). Brilliant work, my guy, keep it up :D.
@@Anraheir By the by, great job. Found your stuff today, already watched quite a few (don't tell my boss though, I'm supposed to work). Fantastic trip to nostalgia land.
Really nicely made, I have some questions: 1) Are the sun and moon in extended edition? I don't remember being able to have that in a skybox in the original. The skyboxes in general look better and different. 2) How did you get the laborers to look like they were standing on top of the pyramid scaffolding near the beginning? 3) The bridge inside the tomb that looks like it falls into an abyss, I'm assuming it's highly vertical terrain with the black texture on the sides but how did you get it to look so good? Love it and then: 4) right after the pharaoh exits that area he walks under a structure, which usually isn't possible in the game, what was that?? 5) When the pharaoh offers himself up to be sacrificed, you managed to get a lighting effect to hover above the arms of the monuments, is that in the background to give the illusion it's raised? Since normally all effects take place directly on top of the ground. And finally: 6) When the vegetation returns to the river, that faded in like it was edited... Or did you somehow get that to happen in-game? This will really help my scenario-craft, thanks!
1. The sun and moon are not in the Extended Edition. I'm actually using the Titans Expansion Pack from way back in the early 2000s. I use editor tricks - the glow of heroes are they're shrunk, the glow of the excavation site (from the mission where laborers dig out the Sword of the Guardian). 2. Use the "camera within the hill" trick. Position a camera within a hill - place an object (eg, laborer) on the hill and it will be projected to the background; the hill itself becomes invisible. This can be used to create many illusions - objects/units on top of each other, units walking over anything, or "flying", etc. 3. I used shadows on the sides of the hill and created a uniform fade to the blackness by spacing out the shadows slightly apart, so they overlap more and more (eg, get darker). 4. For this, I placed a recurring lighting strike effect in the back wall of the cave, then I teleported a Sleeping Guardian and a Lampades to the hill within which lies the camera (see #2). 5. I saved individually while adding vegetation. Then I shot each one and transitioned individually. Not in-game. Feel free to ask as many questions as you want :). Thanks for watching.
I am gonna turn on the bell icon for you. You are the only one I've the bell on for now. You deserve more attention from the community. Post it on r/ageofmythology they will love it.
sorry to be off topic but does anybody know of a trick to log back into an Instagram account? I was stupid forgot my login password. I would appreciate any assistance you can give me.
@Marc Jordy Thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site through google and im trying it out now. Takes a while so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Absolutely fantastic job on this. Especially loved the scene with Osiris. Only one issue, the windowboxing! Please crop the AoM cinematic bars from the video file so we can enjoy this in fullscreen. :)
Man, this is really amazing, and I read that u didn't use apps, just in game editor. You are really talented and creative, I never liked and subbed so fast to anyone before.
Incredible, which love to details, so many tricks used to get that much out of the editor! Do you know TheVandhall? Would be interesting, what you can do in the Age of Mythology Retold Editor!
Once again ya produced a cool story. Got to say though I laughed at 1:19 just how it all played out. Pharaoh: "ah a lovely day wonder what it has in store." (crocodile croaks) Pharaoh: "alright fine I'll go try and fix this." and in the end he gets his gator buddy back.
Your cinematics always bring out childhood memories of Age of Mythology. In fact, they're uch more impressive than the gaming cinematics have ever been - each of your scenes has a painterly touch. I can only imagine the amount of effort you put into these.
This is an incredible effort. I can't imagine how much time you spent building, setting up triggers and adjusting cinematic shots. I did watch your other videos and theya re in pair with this one. This is cinematography at its best. You make the people who created that horrible expansion look likea joke in comparison. Keep up the good work.
To be fair, that Petsuchos probably represented some kind of sacred, divine crocodile. So even though the kingdom was going throught a crisis, the Pharaoh probably thought that it would eventually pass. When the Petsuchos died, that was the sign that this was no ordinary crisis, so the Pharaoh had to step down from just administering and take matters into his own hand literally. Either that or the offering for the Gods was simply not ready yet, it could be that too.
@@Anraheir keep yourself together on your career my man, this is just passion. Just do whenever you want to. nobody have rights to force you make this content, we definitely waiting.
As someone who played a *lot* of aom back in the day (and spent some time in the scenario editor), this just totally blows me away. Fantastic cinematic!
Your videos instantly calm me down man, this is PURE nostalgy heightened by your ''observative'' cinematic style. I really do feel like I was part of the AoE world for a while here, god bless and keep going.
I've been playing AOM for years now and never have I seen a cinematic as well done as this one. Hats off to you man, I am blown away. Keep up the amazing work!
This is just superb I've never seen such quality and talent put into this game before. All of your work is amazing. How did you get the builders on top of the wonder to build it though??
Kevin Fernandes get the camera inside of a hill; pase and shrink units on the hill; once the cinematic starts, set up triggers to guide construction of a wonder. If you get the angle right, it’ll look like the units are on top of the wonder.
I am so glad I stumbled across your channel. These are works of art. Its amazing to see that there are people still out there who care about such an old game just like me.
Serious nostalgia. I spent hours on the map editor as a kid amd came close to mastering the camera movements and c8nematic effects. You are amazing for completing a whole story using them. Wonderful.
I started playing AOM again. When I search for atlantean theme on yt. This video appear in my recommend. And I also watch your pervious vid, Divine Satisfaction. I still love AOM cinematics
man I thought that AOM fans didn't exist anymore seeing the condition of the online multiplayer. but this is some nice stuff mate , subscribed and notifications enabled...
