The most difficult level of Age of Mythology I'd say. Mostly because its the most bloody inconsistent level in the game so expect to reset a bunch and hope for a decent seed. In this one I got an attack at about 6 minutes so a decent time to have things ready but they can attack as early as 5 minutes which is still holdable but you need to work for it a bit more with micromanagement. If you want to take advantage of a bug that isn't the diplomacy bug where you can just switch them to ally (I will not consider this legit lol). You can cast 2 flaming weapons power and eventually when they both run out you will have one stack permanently on your units for the rest of the game.
Send all your starting dwarves to gold and train 2 Hersirs immediately. Destroy the temple next to your base and then proceed to destroy 3 more. The temples will be guarded be Einherjar, either upgraded or not they still pack a punch so be careful Train more Dwarves and build a temple and another long house. Get at least one Frost Giant if possible and if possible a hill fort if you can or a 2nd giant. You will want to max out Dwarves in this level because you are going to be begging for resources here. Once you have destroyed the temples immediately return to your base and place the dwarven heroes in the locations I show in the video and set both to stand ground with the alt+S command. We need to see where the Nidhogg is coming and will hopefully attack one of the dwarves leaving the rest of your units free to fight off the army coming, then you can proceed to kill the Nidhogg. Keep building units and upgrading them as much as you can, your gold wont last forever so you need to grab the 2nd town center so you at least have a minor backup while you move your gold mining dwarves around. DO NOT TAKE THE 2ND TOWN CENTER WITHOUT ENOUGH RESOURCES TO BUILD 2 HILL FORTS AND 2 LONG HOUSES CLOSER FOR REINFORCEMENTS AND ONLY DO IT AFTER AN ATTACK.
After you take the town center your pretty much repeating the same thing and then taking the town center close to his walls. Note that there is a lot of gold south of this TC and you should take it when you can because otherwise the enemy is going to mine it all, wall it off and build a tower there. The enemy will try to kill your dwarves as well so check there periodically. There are a couple more temples you can take as well that are guarded by a few trolls that will have undermine which can be useful in taking down the walls. Try to upgrade your army as much as you can as you push in towards Loki's base and make sure to kill every unit and destroy all buildings because he will rebuild and keep threatening you if you don't. If he builds a mass of ballista they will become a priority target so move back to the safety of your hill forts so the ballista fall behind their army and then while engaging their army send around 5-10 Ulsfark to take out the ballista. Once you destroy Loki's base, proceed north to the golden boar where there is one more wall and a bunch of walking trees to deal with. Once Brokk and Eitri are at the golden boar you win the scenario! And you are officially done. Pat yourself on the back.
