Why put all that investment into Jarls if you aren't going through Njord? Odin's Jarls have decent stats I guess, but they are Pop inefficient compared to Raiding Cavalry, which you can mass before Heroic for cheaper. I love Jarls, but I find in most competitive games, I need cheaper units who can better counter what my opponent is building.
ah yeah I noticed it too, I guess that's why people say that Odin sucks, because his jarls aren't strong enough without njord upgrade... even though you could try to train only huskarls from the first hill fort, and some rcs from longhouses, and later with second hill fort train some Jarls vs of myth units. Rams are bad without Baldr upgrade and Ballistas are good but they only come too late :/
@@arthurm.8007 The thing that bothers me about Jarls is that they are a soft counter to myth units that are still vulnerable to nearly all myth unit special attacks. If you need to kill myth units because your opponent has for some reason put heavy investment into them, I would think you would do better using Hersirs since they're more easily massed. I suppose Jarls have more versatility, but it's still an expensive unit to make the backbone of your army.
The problem is that Odin doesnt have Forseti to improve that really slow 4.2 speed hersirs, and enemy archers and counter infantry can kill hersirs before they catch a myth unit, if they can. While Jarls usually have 5.3 speed because of freyja and good hp with odin and freyja
on the contrary, i think this strategy is more viable today rather than back in the day. At that time people used to go all in. That is the case where this fh fails on an open map like tundra. you cant get 2nd gold. But today many people have become boomers and can get destroyed by this jarl fh. But a 1650+ would never go to boom in itundra, this is my point.

Fenasi Kerim That's true, you can't play vs a cheating oponent, for ex I can easily beat 1 vs 2 on hard but on titan is extremly hard for me to beat 1 vs 1
Vs titan you just need to funnel with walls and build towers, only thing that might work as well is a loki rush but there is no vs human strategy viable to display vs a titan AI :)
