In addition to the three tips I gave in my other recent video beating Level 12 of Classic Tower Defense, I’m showing an additional tactic in this video:
Have a centralized Rocket Turret upgraded to Level 4 by the time the Boss comes out, as the Rocket Turret will continue to fire at the Boss even after he rounds a few corners. You’ll be surprised how much range the Level 4 Rocket Turret has and how it will enable you to kill the Boss earlier. However, if you upgrade it to Level 4 too late and the Boss is already kind of far away, the Rocket Turret won’t target him. But if it targets him up close, the Rocket Turret will stay locked onto him for quite a range. So be sure to get the Level 4 upgrade before the Boss comes out, even if you have to sell some towers. You can always buy them back later.
