Age of Sigmar Lore: Mawtribes 

Me: (Turns on Warhammer Community website and sees all the battle tomes coming out) “Well, good bye Cities of Sigmar videos. We hardly knew you.”

I can't stop seeing the Ogres with a sort of terrifying Attack on Titan vibe. As in they are not big enough to just bite through someone but they already start eating the moment they get close. That is just freaky. The Ghouls may play the same game but I kind of imagine them tearing stuff apart in a frenzy first.

I have had beasclaw raiders for a while now. I’m very pleased to see more come of my only destruction force than was initially produced.

8:09 fun fact: it’s not technically illegal in human society either. It’s actually killing another person that IS illegal, not cannibalism. This is because people who are forced to eat dead bodies in the wilderness, like the famous story of the plane that crashed in the Andes, won’t be arrested just because they were forced to do what they needed to survive.

One thing that interested me is how willing Ogres are to work with others. Aside from Death, they've worked with all sorts of Chaos factions, Greenskins and Order. I loved the story of Chaos and Ogres teaming up as the Stormcast first appeared, but then the Ogres realize they can't eat them, so they turn on Chaos with the Stormcast being confused in the end.

I'm loving the lore for ogres. It's got the good old mix of horrible violence with touch of humor.

I always felt orgres were very under represented and under explored. It's always good to see more videos of my favorite race in all of fantasy. Good stuff.

Ogors (Gutbusters and Beastclaw Raiders) arrive at the Jagged Savanah and meet the Untamed Beasts, beginning to worship the Devourer of Existence. This is something I’d love to see.

Yeah I'm going with an Ogor tribe for my army. These guys are awesomely brutal and I love the Ever-Winter concept. Anything Ice related I'm in on.

I love this battletome (especially the Gutbusters and their Followers), although IMO a bit too much blood and gore while reading it. Thank you for making this Video, great job!! Looking forward for your next Mawtribes video.

Fantastic review. All I can think about now is the desolation left in the wake of these Maw Tribes. There would literally be nothing left after they have moved on. It would be akin to strip mining. Such a fascinating concept to behold. Yet horrific. Call to Archaon had a great story of a Khorne warband fighting a Maw Tribe. A great depiction of what battle would look like.

I love playing all of the destruction factions for their might makes right mentality that spills over into other things that I like to play.

A few more new models would be nice. Yethees, Butchers, Maneaters e.g.

So 2 questions. You mention the cities of sigmar and how they of course need supply lines and the like, so my first question is do the stormcast eternals need to eat? and sleep for that matter. My other question is what would ogors eat when it comes to things like chaos and death?

Great job as always! Personally I am not a fan of the Maw being an aspect of GorkaMorka, the Maw as a concept is too primal imo which made it more mysterious. :)

So damn near their exact copies in fantasy. The only exception being Gork & Mork have replaced the Great Maw.

I hate the direction GW went with this, besides Grom the paunch( who really only got big because of the troll meat) what ork was ever fat? None that's what, they are regarded as muscle bound brutes who survived off of war and fighting itself not the consumption of food as much, so it pisses me off that they made it where Gorkamorka is the Great Maw even though he looks nothing like the ogre's Maw symbol, this lore change would be like if the Great devourer in 40k was just Gork and Mork smashed together even though they have absolutely nothing in common, this lore change is just pure laziness on GW's part, instead of improving on the lore of the Maw they just said fuck it, it's Gorkamorka now, the Great Maw a was huge creature with an eerie mystery behind it. Was it just a hole or was it a living thing? Nope, it's just Gorkamorka, done, so stupid. The only way to fix the lore now is to have an ogre tribe called the True Maw tribe, a tribe that heard that the other ogre tribes are worshipping a ork god and have a huge hatred toward them and wish nothing more than to devour their misguided kin.

I think last time i went out for a bite i happened upon a mawtribe in hunting, pushing, shoving, growling and burping as they went...

I just don't get the BeastClaw raider concept. so they are followed by that giant Blizzard and if they are too slow, they get frosted. ... But the blizzard is traveling behind them ... So if the blizzard has passed what happens to that Ogor?... Won't the Ogor not just not defrost be on his way again? Or is that storm an unending storm?? Also if they are constantly followed by the storm, how do they engage in diplomacy with other Ogors? How do they settle to solve personal matters? How can there be a Ogor civil war of one of the two is hunted by that giant storm that doesn't stop? Wouldn't they have no time to stop for those quarrels? Or do they just engage in civil war and get frosted? Where do their animals come from? Do they follow/run from the storm? Do the BeastClaw raiders constantly go in and out of the storm to get those animals? What happens to the place the storm passed? Does it get defrosted again? The storm is such a huuuge plothole and really stupid.
