Age of Sigmar Lore: Saurus Units 

I truly hope that GW will give us updated models for Seraphon, the warriors, salamanders and cold ones are starting to age very badly and it is showing. Another great video Doug, really enjoy your content ")

I'm generally a lore nerd when it comes to video games, but I have never played a warhammer tabletop game before and didn't know much about the lore of either fantasy or AOS. I only started looking it up to get some context for events in the vermintide games and I stumbled on this channel and never left. Your lore series is beginner friendly but still detailed and your genuine enthusiasm and positivity makes for great videos! I'm now getting far too invested in the lore and might have to look into getting a starter set, ha.

I just had a strange idea.... what if there were a Saurus guard from the old world who was just SO obnoxious, SO inept and SO blundering that the Slaan absolutely could not forget him no matter how much he wishes to try and since he was the most memorable Saurus Guard ever, every time the Slaan goes to summon Saurus Guards, if he isn't summoned already then he is the first one to pop out. And maybe the first couple times the Slaan popped him like a balloon just to not have to listen to him, the Slaan quickly realized that because he is stuck in his head just like a catchy song that he'll always pop out. And even if he tries to get rid of the guard by sending him off on his own, because he is such a magnet for misfortune and ire that he always gets himself killed and then gets summoned again. So the Slaan just has to deal with having this minion that constantly grates on his nerves and is always causing trouble by his side at all times.

What's this "Seraphon" you keep mentioning? all I'm seeing are Lizardmen! they survived the damn End Times, they get to keep their name!

I just found the channel a couple of weeks ago, and am loving it. Your lore videos have inspired me to get off the fence, and actually order the starter box to get into the hobby. Keep up the good work.

The whole idea of the very alien and different species is cool but just like in the old fantasy world I wished the seraphon or at least one of the slann would join the fold as an order faction and maybe put lord kroak on the pantheon. I think the reactions of other light races to there strange allies would be so cool to read

You are in Fact so good at your videos that i actually .. for a second conciddered bying a seraphon army.. But then i heard the whispers of the Granfarther Nurgle and came to my senses again ;) But i tip my hat at you . You are really a comferteble storyteller. Thx, and ceep it up... well in the old world, saurus are immortal. In the end times some saurus like Kroq gar survived. Are they daemonic as well or are they somewhat ascended or flesh and blood?

I'm loving all the Seraphon love!!! And this video in particular because I adore the Saurus Guard and Eternity Warden due to their incredible lore, talk about champions. I just wish they had more than one wound on the tabletop to match their lore so they can stand up to aoe mortal wound abilities and such. Keep up the good work Doug!

Absolutely love your in-depth videos and reviews! Everytime I get a notification about a new upload I can't wait to watch it.. If you have time I would love a video about your predictions and thoughts for future faction and battletome releases - do you think they will add many more armies(and which ones) or do you think GW will work on existing ones instead - or maybe both? Personally I would love a beasts of chaos and soulblight battletome with new units(an army of vampires on foot would be awesome).. Thanks for your time in advance :) cheers!

I don't get how an Elite unit like Saurus Guard have only 1 Wound.

I love Saurus. I love them. I love their lizard faces. I love their Celestite clubs. I love their Celestite spears. I love when the spears are next to the clubs and I love when the clubs are next to the spears. I love that my Saurus Oldblood pulls 2280 of them out of his scaly cloaca and then descends on my opponent like a Vogon at a poetry convention. I love the predicted Saurus victory. I love it because it lies to my opponent. It says they have a 50-50 chance of victory. This is patently false, because they have twenty units of Freeguild Guard who are held together with faith and steel. They do not have twenty units of eight foot tall geckos constructed out of pectoral muscles and galvanised coffin nails. I love that they shout bok at my opponent. Bok is the Bristol Orienteering Klub, which is completely irrelevant to a battle in at a Temple City and should not be shouted repeatedly while eating a rank of low-cost infantry like buffalo wings. It greatly annoys my foe. I love their bravery. I love that surrounding them simply prompts one of them to pull out a US general's helmet so he can make a speech about 'now we can attack in any direction'. I love that their reaction to a devastating rear attack is to become somewhat peeved. My opponent has looked a Saurus in his smug scaly face as an encirclement that would shatter any other low-cost battleline closed in. He went from angry to exited, killed an extra two hundred Guard because the opponent had foolishly allowed all four sides of the Saurus unit to fight at once and then swallowed his Aqshy Battlemage like a slim jim. My opponent has resolved to shoot every one of my Saurus dead. Every Saurus. All of the Saurmen and the Saurdren too. They hate them. They no longer see battlefields because they're covered by a thick blanket of gunfire trails. I love that it barely stops my Saurus. I love that they keep going while shouting about the Bristol Orienteering Klub, or the Bank of Oklahoma, or the 1983 Bok asteroid. I googled Bok so I could write down ways in which I love things that have it as a name to annoy my opponent. Bok is also a lunar crater and a Martian crater. It is also a village in Iran. I love that while I was writing this my Saurus Oldblood picked up a Freeguild General and smoked him like a cigar. I love Saurus.
