Agents of SHIELD is criminally underrated. I don’t get why people are so mad at aos because they didn’t do endgame when a) the writers didn’t know what would happen, b) the show is WAY better when they are not trying to be super MCU, and c) the MCU NEVER EVER has acknowledged aos besides a gadget designed by Fitz. The hypocrisy
The first few episodes were bland but if you look at other shows few of them rise about that in the entire first season. In retrospect the first several episodes give such a strong foundation for the team and how they connect that its essential viewing. Without it Grant’s betrayal would have been much less impactful. May would haven’t been such an epic enigma. FitzSimmons! Skye wouldn’t have bonded with Coulson as much. We wouldn’t have known how wonderful Tahiti is! Where all the characters ended up at the end of the first season would have been a big ‘eh, wait for next season whatever.’ Instead it wrecked souls and ensured it had a season 2 AND the characters weren’t empty husks at the beginning of season 2.
I miss him in the movies, i was expecting a bigger screentime for him in Captain Marvel His references to star wars in agents of shield are awesome too

it's so weird cause when movies were coming out I didn't care much about him but now after watching aos for 7 years I'm like Iron Man? Cap? I'm just gonna go rewatch aos again
Phil Coulson is the true heart of the MCU... and the best dad ever in it too. Not many dads are so dad that they are willing to go fucking kill Alien overlords just to protect their adopted daughter. The Kree never saw it coming
Fuck Agents of SHIELD is so amazing. To think that this goofball turned into a leader to rival Nick Fury's skill so much that Fury considered him an Avenger. And it shows how destroyed people can become due to trauma. I mean just think about it, these two quotes came from the same person. "It's a vintage set... it took me years to collect them all." *puppy dog eyes* "I wanted to feel him die."
When I thought I couldn't love him more, he would just drop those Star Wars references, i swear, this man is a blessing to Marvel. I wish he could watch The Mandalorian series bc Fennec Shand is literally agent May and that would be so funny
He was the reason I started watching the show. Phil, Daisy, May, Mac, Fitz-Simmons, Yo-yo, etc. were the reasons I stayed. It’s (was?) such a good show.

I kinda want to watch Black Widow or Hawkeye say to the Avengers that they bring the Cavalry to help then May show up and the Avengers were confuse because it’s only person but Nat/Clint just so happy to get May to help

I used to not really care about his appearance and thought he was just a serious, side character, soldier type of person. So when he “died” in Avengers, I didn’t really care like how you would see the civilians die and you just can’t be bothered. It’s not until I started watching Agents Of Shield and I realized he was so much more than just a awkward man in a suit. I realized how cool he was and the storyline made him 10x amazing. Now he’s probably one of my favorite mcu characters lol.

listen i just started watching agents of shield cause i always wanted to but never did but phil coulson is the main reason i did. he is probably my favorite mcu character.
I binged AoS in about 2½ months, but I haven't rewatched it in a while. So the very brief spike of hatred I felt seeing "Grant Ward" at the end surprised me.
😂 I started watching when S3 was airing, stopped watching sometime during their time in space. After Winter Soldier it started to get weirder and weirder, until I lost interest. Maybe just the long wait for the next season. I did love all the comedic elements, small bits of humour here and there, FitzSimons... S1 was the best.
@@imrekalman9044 Since I've only seen a handful of the early MCU movies, I was able to watch AoS as its own thing. By season 5, I gave up waiting for it to start making sense and just embraced the weirdness of it, like, "Oh, so now they're in space......ok, sure." 😂😂

You should’ve included the scene where he comes into the room after ghost rider and Daisy fight and he was like: „i missed it didnt I?You two fighting together and i missed it“ I love him so much
