In a scene from ABC's "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." (Fridays at 9/8c), Dove Cameron makes her debut as General Hale's daughter Ruby. Follow TVLine on... Twitter: / tvline Facebook: / tvline Instagram: / tvline
To have Ruby intro'd like this and then find out she's an assassin and a hydra project was a huge surprise. I feel really sorry for her that she was forced into this 'destroyer or worlds' role and wasn't able to figure out what she wanted to do with her life.
WickedWitcher01 I think that’s why I would never start out on Disney......once you’re on there nobody can see you as anything but “that person who was on Disney Channel”
Marvel is owned by Disney like almost everyother TV platform. Plus, she is acting lile she feels her character would actually act like if Ruby was real. I Hinestly think she's amazing at acting.
@@disneygeek1228 i agree shes actually did pretty good with this character. It's a shame the character didnt continue but i heard it was partly cause they casted her for the sequel of 'descendants'
This is so funny... because this role is SO not like Dove... and she is playing it so well its actually uncomfortable... I'm so proud to look up to a model of such amazing characteristics and such a unique personality. O.O 😍😍😍😍
Natasha "Nat" Romanoff (born Natasha Alianove Romanova; known by her codename Black Widow) is one of the main proteagonists of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. She was a
I dont watch this show but I love you dove and I love ruby...she shouldnt have been killed she is a really good character and even though shes a villain its not her fault she was controlled xxx❤❤❤❤🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊
Everyone criticizing this is saying the same thing. You ever heard of typecasting? Maybe all her roles sound like "the exact same person" *because it's the exact same type of character,* and they cast her for that reason.
Dove Cameron in Agents Of SHIELD. Well, I guess I better start watching this show. I mean, I better keep on watching this show. (Although no one might care, I have been on season 1 episode 2 for monthS)
first the daughter of a evil powerful fairy and now she is the daughter of a Government Official wow Mal I am impressed you upgraded though what about Ben and Evie and everyone
+Denishea Sorry u got confused, I call Maleficent Mal all the time cuz I don't like saying the whole word. So Maleficent in the Angela Jolie movie was a fairy, but was she a fairy in all the other stuff?
I absolutely hated her characters death. If she had to die, it should've been from realizing that S.H.I.E.L.D. was not the enemy and then helping them save the world. What they did instead was completely unacceptable. The only way Marvel can make up for this (since they didn't bring her back in future seasons) is by making a new Spider-Girl series for Disney+ and having her as (you guessed it) Spider-Girl.
Ehh... I feel like Doves acting is the same in EVERY SINGLE FILM/SHOW. This seems alot like Mal, not in how the script is, but in how she speaks. Everytime i see her act, I expect the same things and get the same things. I think she needs to work on being able to act differently/outside of Disney
I agree. Everyone's praising her for this role being "unlike anything she's done" but it's literally just like Mal. She also tries too hard with her line delivery... it seems forced and exaggerated. I love her but she needs to work on switching things up.
Starbucks Audios have you watched Liv and Maddie? She's legit 2 different people. At first before I knew anything about dove I was set on the fact that she had a twin. I'm not a fan or anything but come on...
Park Chimmy yes i know and I really think she was great there, but what i said was she needs to work on her acting OUTSIDE OF DISNEY. I think Liv and Maddie was by far the best thing she has done and i do agree :)
yeah same. she acts the same way in every single role. I have a hard time taking her seriously when she makes SUCH a big deal out of a guest role in which nothing special is happening.
Would anybody like it if Dove Cameron voiced herself as a new supporting Star vs. the Forces of Evil character like Adam West in Family Guy? I know I would. March 27, 2018, 11:05am
It's about SHIELD from the Marvel Universe and it follows Phil Coulson and his team as they save the world from different threats. The show is amazing, but Dove only came in this season (season 5) so you'd have to be caught up all the way if you want to see her.
Not everyone can step into the role of a different character and seem like a different person. It’s extremely hard. Most actors have a type they are good at, and stick with it. Hence why she is usually the “bad girl”
.... okay, I know Dove has a lot of VERY YOUNG FANS that followed her career from Disney but her acting in this isn’t all that impressive. Idk, I feel like it was a bit cringey and a bit too over the top/overdramatic. Just my opinion. I don’t think her acting abilities are ready to take on a serious note grown up role
She doesn't even go here! If she "isn't ready" then how is she going to start? Personally I think she's an amazing actor. And expanding the types of roles she gets, the better she gets to understand. Practice makes perfect
Daniela Ybarra I understand where you’re getting at but Lmao that was similar to my point. I’m just saying she isn’t ready for these types of roles yet because I still believe she needs to work on her acting. You can always hone/improve a skill. Right now her acting is fit for Disney. I think she should reach out and maybe train in some acting classes (even established actors still go to classes now and then) and start off with smaller roles then transition from there.
She’s not a good actress outside of Disney, I’m sorry. She was a good Liv, a good Maddie, a fantastic Amber VonTussell and an excellent Mal but I just think she needs to work on her acting before she tries branching out into mature roles.
LovaticAnimal69 Yeah, usually I don't notice bad acting, but hers was so terrible that I just wanted to skip all the scenes she was in. I didn't though.
"she's not a good actress outside of Disney" umm she played twins (and initially i thought they were two different people) and she played Mal. Just because she's from Disney, doesn't mean she's an average actress. I honestly she's one of the more talented ones in Disney.
Honestly, I'm really upset that she's in shield, and I hope it's not a big role. I dont like her acting. The way she talks and her facial expressions annoy me so badly, and she's almost the same in every role. 😟😟
