No because Yuuya didnt even think that Malleus was the one deliberately stopping him breathe fr, he just thought HE was the one that stopped breathing because of how -breathtaking- scary Malleus was. Atp the only one who knows in the novel about the deliberate choking is Malleus and he probably won't tell Yuuya the truth

@@fleurism No- I meant the name part. In the actual folklore. Fae will ask your name and then they steal it. It's because name's hold power. I don't actually think that is implemented in twst but it's probably reference by Malleus not immediately giving yuu his name in the game.

Nope, Yuuya didn’t ask for his name twice it was more like “Are you an upperclassman?” “You don’t who I am?” Then Yuuya says yes and Malleus *is about* to introduce himself but then changes his mind and Yuuya only asks for his name once. It’s definitely Malleus making Yuuya choke (for a bit) because right after Yuuya agrees to Malleus not saying his name, he could suddenly breathe properly again 😭 (he’s still scared though) And thank you!! Also true, it’s contradictory to what Malleus says vs what he actually does but I guess the novel author did this on purpose (plus imo i think it adds some depth to his character too)

Almost missed the second question but I guess they *both* could be considered canon? Imo i think it depends on the person on what they consider canon if they’ve read the game first or the novel (generally most people would consider “canon” to be the game since it’s the first one released out of the group that has the LN, manga and anime)

Oooh, I see, well thank you answering! I feel like the novel is way more realistic like would we or well that person would feel coming to twisted wonderland and other situations. Yuu in the game just feels so like a background character like sure they wouldn't talk maybe because of not being asked or given the chance to voice their opinions perhaps but I feel like there's supposed to be like a scene or something like that towards yuu in the game since *they're* the ones who came in twisted wonderland. *They're* the ones who facing all of this and it's new to them. I get it that the game focuses on other characters and their problems which occur in real life but the main character is also facing a difficult situation of being away from their home without their choice and i feel it should be explored as well and should have some depth given to yuu and their situation. It's just my opinion. Too bad i don't have the novel it feels so fun to read since you post about it. Again, thank you for answering my questions. :)
