I can attest to not drinking, smoking or trying “recreational” drugs of any kind. I see the difference in how I’m aging compared to my peers who did and do indulge in those things. I look not only younger but I’ve remained healthier as well.

What a lovely set up you have. My dressing table is one of my favorite furniture pieces. My husband gifted it to me for my birthday 6 or 7 years ago. I have a bench in front of it now so my daughter can sit and get ready with me and we have so much fun doing hair and face in the morning!

Thank you Nikki your dressing table is so beautiful. I don't have the room for such a table in the apartment I live in but the bathroom vanity works where all the things I need are there. Getting up every morning getting dressed and making the bed are routine everyday. You inspire me with your videos thank you again.

Ruth here, one think that keeps ya looking younger is to not get real heavy and then lose a lot of weight, l have been struggling with my weight since 3rd grade. Well, l figured out, what l have is stomach pain, so l keep track of what cause my pain and what foods make me gain weight. l can now lose weight, l don't want to get heal thin, l want to feel good so l can be happy. My mom, l see now, struggled with so much the same, she lost 100 pounds, she kept it off for years. If you feel better you can much more easily be more gracious. God bless you in wanting to help others

Thank you Nikki for inspiring me to create a space to get ready in the morning. I repurposed a small antique writing table I already owned, that used to live in my entrance hallway. My bedroom is on the smaller side and this lovely desk fit perfectly under my bedroom window. It's been so nice getting ready in the morning.

Paint the inside of the glass jar a pale pink, and then you won’t see the Bobby pins. It will look like pink glass from the outside. Also, if you don’t want to use the collected hair, put it outside in the spring and birds will use it for building their nests.

Excellent advice Nikki. I am aware of the Hair receivers. It is a wonderful lost practice. The rat is good if you do a lot of up do hairstyles to add volume like the olden days. I tend to prefer my hair down most days. The Ladies looked amazing in their beautiful Dresses. Your Dressing table is beautiful, simple and functional. Love it!. ❤️

Hi Nikki....I love the glass hair keeper you shared. The idea of it takes me back to when I was a little girl. I would sit with my Grandmother at her vanity and watch her brush her beautiful hair, she kept a blue top of a hairspray can(aqua net) on her vanity to use for that very purpose. She would clean her brush and place her hair into the hairspray lid, pushing it down ever so slightly until the next time she cleaned her brush. I asked her why she would keep her hair like that and she told me that she would use the hair to style into her own in order to create a fuller look when needed. To this day, I always remember that conversation and the days sitting with my grandmother at her vanity. This is a memory that I shall always treasure. xo, Dena

Nikki I love this one! I love seeing your dressing gown and all the ins and outs of YOUR specific routine. And oh my…Katie’s letter…what a sweet tear jerker🙏🏻💓. I can relate to some of the things she spoke of and I, too, have found that the more I lean into the traditional, organized, simplified, feminine and, therefore, wonderful life-altering way of homemaking and being a wife the better I feel within my physical body, too. My great-grandmother saved her hair and made what they called a "switch." I think it was to add volume to her hair. So interesting, what they used to do.

Your grace is a comforting cup of sunshine. Your home is summer breeze in a blue sky. You are deep well of fresh clear water. I wish that I could be more like you. I’m disorganized. I’m 60 years old. But thanks to your beautiful modeling, I slowly continue to improve. I’m not as energetic or strong as I once was. Things take me more time and I need to wait for my husband to lift and move things now. I do wear dresses and put on lipstick and really put in effort for the day.
