She was born in Gentofte, a district of Copenhagen, Denmark. She currently lives & writes (mostly at night in her own private studio) in Berlin. This is my favourite live version of this song, that she has done & alongside ‘Familiar’ is also my favourite track she has ever done.
This song helped me through the surreal time during COVID. COVID was the curse and then; “they’re hope grew with a hunger to live unlike before” assured me we would get stronger in ways we would have not done otherwise.

@@firstact5704 Interesting you say it would be good in horror movies, the reason she have so many hits on you tube is they used her song, Riverside in a TV show, think called Black Rain. Agnes, Agnethe, Agneta and Agnetha. Different versions of the same name.
I think etherial is the word he is looking for. Also in combination with "Familar," I think "The Curse" are 'songs' plumbing deeper the questions inherent in Stevie Nicks' "Landslide." To me this work is a musical lament on the vibe the expressionist art of fellow Scandinavian artists like Edvard Munch (The Scream). My guess is she is exploring the emotions of missing the opportunity to have a family due to pursuit of career or just drawing the short straw. Super like this talented lady and the talented people she attracts.
The Curse is a favorite of mine. Agnes is a recommendation of Avi Kaplan's he has several of her songs on his "Currently listening" Spotify Playlist. "Camera Rolling" and "Aventine" are a couple I have really enjoyed from that list as well.

Daniel Ellsworth just put his first solo E P. out "I Have". He has been in music for a very long time and does have co-writer credit with Avi Kaplan on both of Avi's "I'll Get By" and "Sweet Adeline pt 2" Daniel's work is not in the same genre as what he did with Avi.
