A day after Rahul Gandhi played out a video reasserting his claim that the family of the Agniveer soldier killed in the line of duty did not receive any remuneration from the government. A clarification came from the family of the soldier Ajay Kumar. They have received Rs 98 lakh so far but they want the Agnipath scheme to be scrapped. Two separate issues - 1. Did the family receive compensation? 2. Does the Agnipath scheme work or is it a step back from the earlier system of recruitment? In this episode of Left, Right & Centre, we debate both the points.

Agni Veer may be given good training before sending them to Boarder. They may be given option to continue in Service. Use and Throw policy must be stopped.

Who will the people of India trust to secure the nation? Part time 6 months trained soldiers who will leave after 4 years or professional soldiers with years of training. Indians should use common sense.

@hardik.rathod.7515 in those countries gun culture is at prime. Those soldiers can work as armed security personnel in private companies. We don't have that option in our country.

It will be wrong comparing with israel where it is bounded by enemies of large numbers and faces direct attacks on regular basis and the country is at war 24x7. Whereas, india with huge population and proper army do not require mercenary type army. It will rather do bad than do good.

Vishnu and Dhanoa belong to same page. Does he mean to say that the government has not discussed with the entire top brass of the military machinery. Apparently Maj Dhanoa is not included in any panel meaning he has no "arm chair" income. Even God's cannot be right in the view of negative vibrations like the enemies within, leave alone without.

We did not win 1971, kargil becoz of agniveer scheme...we won becoz of soldiers...chinese were unable do further harm in doklam becoz of soldiers...candidates are joining army now not by looking at agniveer but with a slime hope of serving india which will be taken away after four years...stop supporting bjp people
